Manchester’s Changing Skyline

Sadly the aerial picture isn’t very sharp, but at least it gives a wider view of the plots of land around Victoria Riverside that are going to be developed in the future, along with the proposed park in the distance.

Fantastic to see the progress being made on FEC's Victoria Riverside Project from a great vantage point (shame about the weather)

Once City Road, Office proposal, due to start this year.

Designed by Jon Matthews Architects, the project would see two commercial buildings constructed off City Road.

The demolition of the existing mirrored glass-clad office building on the site could begin this August, according to documents Marshall CDP has lodged with Manchester City Council.

In its place, the developer proposes constructing two office blocks of 11 and 15 storeys, providing a combined 370,000 sq ft of workspace.

Should afford a great view of the expanding city centre skyline in 3 years time.

The outside of the hotel doesn't look particularly exciting in my opinion.

Agree. The shape of the hotel looks a bit bog standard, but the exterior cladding representing sails looks decent. Disco Steve has posted info on it in the North stand thread.

I tried to buy a one bed flat in deansgate square a couple of years ago. The price per square foot was ridiculous - i do wonder however if it’s increased now given the continual investment
