The Manchester skyline from the Lancashire moors ca.15 miles north yesterday... more & more skyscrapers are making it look like a mini Manhattan these days, but it's certainly quite impressive against the hills of the Peak District another ca.20 miles away to its east! At Holcombe Moor.

I was quite shocked by the amount of ghost car parks and empty plots of land at Victoria North. It reminded me of what New Cross used to be like. The sooner Victoria North is developed and completed by FEC (and MCC) the better.

With the first two phases of the £1bn Salford scheme complete, developers Scarborough Group International, Metro Holdings, and Hauling Group are turning their attention to the delivery of a 250-bed hotel.
