Clattenburg is the worst of the lot.

It's always about him, to be the centre of the attention.

Howard Webb or Mike Dean are still the best we have, warts and all.

Ask any club fan and they have horror stories about him which in my opinion is a good thing, he's not favourable to anyone...he's consistantly shite ;-)

Okay so Mark Clattenburg isn't exactly my favourite referee and given the choice wouldn't be my first choice. However, it wasn't that long ago we had to put up with the likes of Peter Walton. Now that was a guaranteed loss for us in the past.

Whilst I agree that Clattenburg is shite he didn't send Lescott off when he gave the penalty. He did however send Clichy off that game for 2 yellow cards.

That's right, he fucked us over three times on the same night.

A lot of talk revolving just around refs on the forum atm.

I think this match is going to be scrutinized heavily so no ref wants to fuck up.
The ref will do his best and so will we hopefully and i am happy that will see us win the match.

We just need to focus on us, that is all we can effect, the refs will do what they do and so will Liverpool .

He sent Clichy off, in fairness deservedly so for 2 stupid yellows, but the rest of your post still stands, his performance was woeful. He also booked Bellamy for being fouled at Bolton leadign to a red card after complaining about him to Hughes.

I really can't stand him as ref. A vain, preening pr1ck, that somehow has a good reputation as a ref which is more to do with the appallingly low standards set by most of the top flight officials (Mason, Taylor, Foy, Atkinson etc.)
