Am told by a senior City source that Roberto Mancini has not been sacked today.

Could there be a possibility that Mancini has resigned?

I suppose you said "fuck Mancini" when Hughes had the job!

Got to give 100% backing to whoever has the job surely.

Only this il miss Mancini but no one is bigger than the club. People missed Sven we moved on people missed hughes (somehow) we moved on. People will miss Mancini if he goes, there's a pattern forming

It's as if yesterday that Bobby hadn't a clue what his situation at the club was. He knew well that things were happening behind his back though, you could sense it in his interview on ESPN.

Surely there should be a rule brought in by the FA regarding managerial replacements? These people are human beings at the end of the day.

On another note, Imagine Kidd or Platt got the job ...

Hahaha! Are you serious? Regulate managerial appointments ?

Absolutely PATHETIC.

And they are human beings? Sorry is mancini going to be lined up and shot now is he? No he's going to take a MASSIVE pay out wouldn't ever have to work again for the rest of his life and will have plenty of clubs wanting him to go to them. You really make me laugh and by that i do not mean i find you in any way amusing i'm laughing at you.

Why are you laughing at him? If this is true it is disgraceful and disgusting. Mancini might be getting a big pay out but he is a human being, he has feelings and he is a successful manager. If you were doing a great job and suddenly it was announced to the people around you that you had been sacked and no one had told you you would be devastated. Roberto Mancini has done a great job for us and the world and his brother has been speculating about him being sacked.

There is such a thing as decent humanity and this sacking, if it has indeed happened, is not decent nor humane.

And I support Manchester City and our present manager before I get the whinging 'You should support the club not the man'. Why can't I support both?

I can't get my head round some of the thinking here!
Changing mangers does not mean ripping everything up and starting again - it's not as if any new manager will need to be shown what a pitch or a ball looks like - I think we can take it for granted that any appointee will pretty much know their stuff . Whatever personal feelings we may have about Mancini or the Spanish boys I for one am content to rely on their knowledge and experience - I don't think ADUG hire idiots.
The other buzz word "stability" . It means absolutely nothing if it is presided over by the wrong man. The scum were lucky - bacon face was the right man at the right time - it will never happen again that a manager will stay at one club for that long - current financial pressure and need for immediate success will see to that.

Some comments in here are embarrassing i.e. ("city is dead to me") we are better than this blues. Let us not forget where we came from Mancini won too much to quickly so now everyone expects too much.

Give him another year please or am I too late?

Yeah, this thread has been a fun one for a boring Sunday.

If it was up to me, I'd keep him too - buy the players he actually wants, this summer. Ah well... I guess we'll have to see what happens. As Gordon Davies said, earlier, we're City fans, and these owners have shown us that they are clever and have City's best long-term interests in their minds... so fuck it, I'm not mad.

If he is coming, don't you think an attitude like that is going against the club ? Do you think that is the definition of support of your club ? Like the idiots chanting "you can stick your pellegrini up your arse" yesterday at the cup final, what was that going to achieve ?
Won't achieve much. Unfortunately the club only has itself to blame. It's like they're practicing anti-PR.

Very pissed off and feel let down by the club that this was out before the game and the manner it continues today. This sort of thing shouldn't be out before a cup final and I feel greatly sorry for the butchering Bobby has received from the media, he should have the club fully behind him and not stabbing him in the back. This shouldn't even of been discussed until at least the season was over. I'm absolutely gobsmacked and sickened by the way he has been treated after giving me as a fan, one of the best moments to remember a year ago. Disgusted just isn't the word for how I feel about the club I love right now. Shocking. And on the day the rags lift the title we are made into a joke, awful.

Same mate, disgraceful! I appreciate what the owners have done but this right now really is shite! Completely shite! I don't want him to go nevermind in this style, he deserves much better. We shouldn't even be letting him go anyway. Bad day this.

It seems to me that Mancini is getting treated publicly with about as much respect as he publicly affords his players.
