I am saying anyone should be allowed to express an opinion without fear of abuse/threats or intimidation.

The topic is for debate......

would you call someone retarded or mentally handicapped ?? No of course not,so please stop sticking up for someone who did.

we all know what lines not to cross, and whoever does is out of order..
dethred was out of order..

If you think he/she's out of order hit the report post button, it will then get looked at by a Mod

Hahahahaha!!!

It's even more bizarre seeing you with "Moderator" next to your name than it was when PB started doing it. I hope you stick to your opinions, fella, and don't go the way of the others in toning it all down in an attempt to keep Ric happy ;-)

It was discussed at great length during the job interview, but after some fierce negotiations he reluctantly let me keep my opinions whilst I'm doing the job.

He's a tough boss to work for you know?

Honestly, I look at other teams and compare them to our own and I think by now we should be walking the Premiership and competing right now for Champions League glory.

Just see how Manchester United have won the Premiership at a canter... mash up the Manchester United line-up with our own from last Monday, you would only swap in Van Persie from their team. Chelsea is a club in absolute turmoil and I think we should be by far the top team in England right now.

Mancini is a very capable manager and has proven it domestically, but the general perception it football circles, particularly in Italy, is that he gets found out in Europe. You can say Dortmund and Real Madrid are top sides, but Ajax made us look foolish and they didn't even impact on the Europa League.

Manchester United will strengthen, Chelsea may well have Mourinho back, Tottenham, Liverpool are coming up strongly and Arsenal are (allegedly) planning heavy reinforcement, I don't think "let's give Bob one last chance" is a chance we can afford.

Mancini has done a good job, but I think with a special manager next season the sky is the limit.
Following on, Guillem Balague said on Revista De La Liga that if Soriano/Begiristain can convince our owners and ourselves then we will hire Manuel Pellegrini this summer. From what he's achieved domestically and in Europe with Villarreal/Malaga, and some of the attacking football I've seen Malaga play, I'd cream myself if he's here for next season.

When you talk about what he's achieved domestically and in Europe are you referring to him winning nothing?
Some of the attacking football I've seen us play has been exceptional. If you would cream yourself at the thought of us losing a born winner and employing an older less successful man then knock yourself out - personally I'd say it was fucking mental..

Well when you put it like that it is going to have to be one hell of a sales pitch from Ferran. Won nowt. Wrong age. Nice bloke. Won't upset anyone.

As for dear old Guillem he was forever banging on about how Ferran and Txiki were going to sit down with Pep and go through the City project having apparently already verbally agreed an offer with him...

...you would have thought Pep could have let his best mate Guillem in on the fact he had already signed a contract with Bayern.

Bad Pep.

Aren't you bored with same old argument? Events should surely at the very worst have put this debate on hold. Credit to the main protagonists for giving a bit of credit to Mancini for his part in the last fortnight. He certainly got the better of Benitez at Wembley who in the words of Eden hazard had his team playing frightened football instead of playing to their strengths.

We've got a game tomorrow, and an FA Cup Final to plan for. Got to be more interesting in re-hashing old discussion

You keep stating this that people who want to keep Mancini want him sainted or idolised. This is simply not true I and I think many others do not want a change of manager because there are no guarantees that by changing the manager things would improve
Once again, it's not about all people wanting him to stay being of that mindset, there's many on here that either post good debating posts back, or alternatively, don't bother posting in a thread they don't like (apparently a ridiculous concept).

It's the ridiculous attacking and accusations that come from the worshippers, from claims of the "doubters/outers" being reds, to Chelsea fans, to having multiple accounts, to hoping City get beat, to being a Soviet Spy etc, that are both annoying and amusing in equal measure.
