Marvin said:Aren't you bored with same old argument? Events should surely at the very worst have put this debate on hold. Credit to the main protagonists for giving a bit of credit to Mancini for his part in the last fortnight. He certainly got the better of Benitez at Wembley who in the words of Eden hazard had his team playing frightened football instead of playing to their strengths.
We've got a game tomorrow, and an FA Cup Final to plan for. Got to be more interesting in re-hashing old discussion

To be fair, he's got it right in the last two games and we've suddenly, more or less for the first time this season, started playing at the right level. Seeing us play Man United off the park the other night just begged the question as to how the hell we've ended up 12 points behind them, of course. I've been saying all season that we are better than them and I think we have outplayed them for the last six derbies now.
Funnily enough, I actually believe Mancini is more likely to be staying next year than I did a few weeks ago. I have never, ever seen him look so nervous before a game as for the derby, which suggested to me there was a lot at stake for him, especially following the Abu Dhabi visit.
Big decisions won't be made on one or two results of course but a storming end to the season isn't going to do him any harm.

Said it as soon as I saw them stood together.
