Only partially true, as Hart, Kompany, Richards, Zabs, Kolo, Barry and Tevez were already in place. However, I thank you for proving my point. No Sheikh, no rattle, no roll...

Hart who was out on loan and considering his options; Kompany who more often than not was on the bench as a back up midfielder; Richards who had regressed since coming into the side and was considered out of shape with little positional sense; Zaba who was a utility player with no fixed role; Kolo and Lescott who looked all at sea as a defensive partnership and were leaking poor goals. Assembling a team isn’t about simply buying the players, it’s about understanding the talents of those you inherit in order to get a better performance out of them – which is what Mancini did for the above mentioned.

Mancini is a brilliant manager and easily one of the best we have had at our club. Nobody is or ever will be bigger than the club, whether they be owner, player, manager or whatever. Bobby's contribution to our current status cannot be denied by any City fan. Hope he stays another 5 years at least.

Bobby has done a very good job, overall. He took a bunch of well-conditioned athletes and schooled and drilled them until they had developed tactical awareness on the pitch. This was a huge step forward (actually a "quantum leap") from what he inherited from Agent Hughes. He also instilled a winning mentality, a crucial component for success. He won the FA Cup and then the League, and for me, he will always be a City legend, and I will always love him for that, but I believe quite strongly that he has taken us as far as he can.
