"Though you're far away, I am here to stay"

Hmm...

Plus, ''Just the other night, I thought I heard you cry...''

A message to Sir Bacon? RM is 'staying put?'

... could never do these. Come on on Tolmie, I give up!!!

I really do fear Mourinho at Chelsea but I guess the rags do too, it was inevitable Chelsea wouldn't phuck up forever.

Another thing that amazes me.

What the hell is this 'if we build it will come', 'right now we aren't at the level of bayern and real' etc'. History over a few years has nothing to do with cup competition. You get the best out your squad and you set up to win games. If you win you progress and you do so with a good squad.

PSG have been around even less time than we have. They managed to get out the group first time of asking and may even get into the semis with a victory tonight. They haven't built over years, they haven't this collective group experience, heck their best players only joined this bloody summer. Silva, Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi being examples.

It's excuse making and nothing else.
PSG didn't come out of nowhere like we arguably did.

In fact, there is no "arguably" about it

Don't make me laugh. PSG were almost anonymous in France until the investment. Granted they won the odd trophy but they hadn't won a league in 15 years or so before being invested into. Lyon and Marseille have had that league sewn up for years until recently.

First chance in Europe and they have a new squad as I pointed out and yet they have a chance to progress into the semi finals tonight.

Edit, don't mistake the point of my post. My point is that this collective experience stuff is nonsense, PSG prove it. They have turned over a whole squad, they are still bedding in players right now like Moura and yet they are leading a poor league and also in the QF of CL on their first attempt.

apples and pears - porto kiev and Zagreb v Dortmund real and ajax - very comparable groups

Sport Bild: Mourinho will join Chelsea this summer & aims to bring Khedira with him

Not a fucking chance unless they are top 4-and that is not guarenteed in any shape or form at the moment.

They have to plan as if they will be though. Players and manager will be lined up in any eventuality. Jose if top 4, Moyes or Pellegrini if not for example.

Of course. We had the hardest group I have ever come across but that still doesn't excuse the Ajax performances.

My point is look at history. Mancini didn't impress in Europe whilst at Inter even though he was winning titles and cups. they ha dthe balls to make an unpopular decision and it paid off. What I am trying to say is, if we do move Bobby on then we aren't Chelsea all of a sudden. We simply are looking to do better (in what is my opinion, the most important tournament in football outside the world cup) in the Champions League.

Change should be embraced, not feared. Change for positive reasons and long term success and suitability, it is important, it's evolution. Bobby has kicked our squad kicking and screaming into a poor outfit into a title winning one. He's had some huge backing from HRH Mansour to help along the process and we have arrived. However. That's where the cross-roads arrive. Do we stay with Mancini and hope he breaks a bad habit (poor showings in CL) and hope he improves his man-management and also gets to grips with being under DOF system or do we simply employee someone that will meet the stated criterias?

All I will say is if this was my club and I spent all this money I would want to at least put Ajax to the sword. I'd be more than disppointed coming stone last. I think you will agree with this too.

Put it this way. FFP is here, it will be complied with and we need to max out revenues. Doing well in Europe as well as winning trophies domestically is a MUST for raising revenue. Companies and glory hunters side with winning teams, hence why they pay tens of millions to be sponsors of this, that and the other. Finishing below Ajax is not good enough, absolutely no doubt about it.<br /><br />-- Wed Apr 10, 2013 3:27 pm --<br /><br />

An FA Cup run which is one of the kindest ever will help to save the season.

One of the kindest ever? Give me a break.

Tell me who we've faced then? Other than this semi final we've had it incredibly easy.

c'mon Moomba - Stoke aside it's been kind to us

It's mind boggling.

If we had been knocked out to Chelsea and the Rags had our run people would be condemning them. Because it's us people try to cover it up. Come on, tell it straight or don't bloody bother.

"won the odd trophy" and a 15 year absence of a league title compared to our history.... Yeah don't make ME laugh.

Even given our poor performances in the CL, I'd have fancied our chances in their group.

2 completely different teams and you're using one against the other? If we'd have played the same teams at each stage I could see your reasoning...

You said one of the kindest ever. That's just pure ignorance.

Or stated purely to belittle Mancini's achievements.
