Mancini (cont)

What is interesting today is the Robbie Savage comment that we may see a change of formation at City. Could his pal Roberto have told him that he is going to move to 4-3-3? He surely can't be planning to go 3 at the back permanently.

Robbie Savage is the ultimate KFA.

Maybe he's just done the same as us and read up Txiki's 'reported' comments in the Press.

Mancini should be sacked because he closed all the mines, steelworks and stuff. Or was it that he listened to Thatcher who told him to play 3-5-2? I'm getting a bit confused.

He's definitely a fan of Thatcher's. I believe he bases his man management on techniques she perfected during the miner's strikes in 84.

And if it works, so what?

I get that your joking in this instance Billy but this is the kind of thing that winds me up about this thread. Any opportunity for a dig, or to undermine the manager and it's taken. He deserves a bit more respect than that from City fans considering.

Criticise, that's fine, it's the castigation and the hyperbole used to back it up that's frustrating.

All of the above, plus the repetitive nature of the thread is the problem imo.

Isn't he good mates with Mancini? Not to say that he'll be getting inside information or anything but I'd say he's better placed than the myriad of journalists who are allowed to bestow their own supposed ITK articles upon us on a daily basis.

Robbie savage is the ultimate **** - now that would have been a statement I could go along with.

I don't mind Savage ... but I don't believe that Mancini's decided to change formations for next season and then gone ahead and told Savage. I'm happy for him to prove me wrong though and his opinion doesn't make me angry.

Yeah I doubt very much that savage has any inside knowledge regards City - I'd guess any discussions between the two are in general terms. Savage does tend to milk the fact he shared a room on away games with Mancini for all of a season at Leicester - maybe he just misses him?

His opinion doesn't make me angry either, though I was on the same plane going out to Marbella a couple of years ago - the 6am Jet2 out of Manchester no less and he was walking around the airport with a 3 quarter length white leather jacket, some beige jeans, crocodile print loafers and a pair of shades. That made me angry.

The solution is simple, don't click on it. I have religious faith and when I click on threads in the Cellar about religion I inevitably find myself pretty offended hence I don't really open them. Similarly threads about Dzeko and previously Balo, would have me reaching for the nearest valium so I stopped reading them.

I think Mancini's been elevated by some to such a standing where for those posters, it's personally insulting if he's criticised unless the criticism is fair in their eyes. That's not the way forums work.

I don't mind reading the arguments for and against. Like I said it's the lack of respect and the repetitive nature of the thread that's frustrating. I can't get my head around the fact that City fans would take cheap shots at Mancini, in the same way they would managers of our rivals. It flabbers my gast.

Well we have Kolarov (Mancini signing) and we had Savic (Mancini signing), were they not good enough for the job? He tried new system pre-season and players didn't look comfortablle when playing in said formation. Now if it was me I'd have stuck with the 4-2-3-1 until the 3-5-2 was perfected or at least well bedded.

fucking hell, do you ever shut up moaning? I sincerely hope you are not at the match tonight, a bit of positivity rather than constant whinging and Mancini-bashing is what is needed. Things have not gone as well as they should have done this season, but this constant fucking moaning, bickering and sniping at Mancini is ridiculous. We have under achieved this season, the scum have over achieved, but they have had decades at getting where they are and it did not happen as quickly for Fergiscum as it did for Bobby - to get into the habit of winning when under-performing is something that will take a bit of time to build, so have a bit of patience and stop moaning for 5 minutes, you are giving me a bleeding headache.

Oh well said, that man.

I dont think its well said at all, Im for Mancini but I dont see why people cant have an opinion different than mine, carry on mate, this is a forum for debate, its good to read different views.

Everyone should take a pound of whatever you're smoking ... the forum and this thread in particular would be a much nicer place ... ;)
