Mancini Doesn't Understand...

I'm not criticising his tactics, the performance, whatever.

I'm saying he should not say he "isn't worried about the defeat" because no manager should ever say they aren't worried about it, because they should be dying to win every game, especially a derby and should be very dissappointed that they lost, instead of saying "well it's ok, we played well".

no it's not ok, we lost, and he shouldn't be saying that he's not worried about it, because we should have won that game, so he should be unhappy that we didn't put them away.
Err..you actually believe he was happy with the result??

He is clearly mightily pissed off at having lost the game but sulking in public is not his style and thank God for that.

Would you prefer some sour outburst such as Ferguson would come out with?

Mancini has the class to rise about that and can see that definite positives can come out of today.

Surely that's the best way to go forwards.

He was saying he wasnt worried because we gave a good display and thats encouraging for future games you tit.

You're an idiot.

Of course he's disappointed, he's putting on a brave face and highlighting the positives in an attempt helping us retain a little morale and confidence in the forthcoming key run-in.

Tit.

Man City boss Roberto Mancini on his side's derby defeat: "Wayne Rooney can change every game because he is a fantastic player. But we didn't deserve to lose. We played very well and I'm not worried for the result because this is football. What was important is that we played a good game."

nope, sorry mate, we have to win, playing well is a luxury on top. Obviously you don't understand what the derby means either, so er, well done on playing well and leaving us 5th if Spurs and Chelsea win their games in hand, oh and for also leaving us without any doubt that we won't be competing for the league this season, nice one berto...
Agree with everything you say mate. There are far too many people on here who are satisfied with City being 'unlucky losers' once again. It's an indication of our lack of progress that now i'll watch Spurs at Sunderland later on ESPN and hope they lose as I seriously think finishing top 4 is now looking difficult. I don't trust Mancini to get us a win over Spurs at Eastlands [draw at best] and I forsee a finish of 5th and for the money we have spent that would be disastrous. Some can't see the bigger picture and cling to the flawed logic that once we were mid table, or once we were in div 2 or 3 so we should be thankful of where we are now. Try telling that to the man who spent 300 million on players - every managers dream - and see what he says......
Truth is, we should be cemented in 3rd now and closer to the scum on points but we aren't and that shows a lack of progress from last season. In reality, we are clinging on th 3rd and about to be overtaken by Chelsea and possibly Spurs and Liverpool despite their woeful season are not far behind us now. In a nutshell; Progress Nil.

Don't agree JMW

That was one of the most acomplished performances we've had at OT in a very long time.

Mancini set us up well, we attacked and passed incredibly well.

We even made attacking subs...What more do you want. Wonder goal. Nuff Said.

The tactics and performance are what matters. Picking holes with his English language is a waste of time.

Players missed chances, and Rooney scored a wonder goal. What had Mancini to do with those moments which defined the game.

I'm turning my attention to the rest of this weekend's football, and thank God that our season for once was not ended by a Derby day defeat.
Unfortunately I fear it has been - we had it in our hands . Why didn´t Mancini withdraw Silva from int. duty like every other fooker? His miss cost us any chance when we don´t need to be giving those coonts so much as a sniff

ahhhhhhh ok, so our miss when it was still 0-0 in about the 6th minute cost us the game??

Pathetic comment.

Utter rubbish from the op.
Mancini dosn't understand the derby?? How arrogant is that?

I think the fact that he played for Samp and Lazio and then managed Inter would suggest
he is considerably more qualified to talk about derbys than most people.
Just because it's the Manchester derby doesn't make it any different.
It's still a derby.

Haha what do you want him to say? 'We're really worried and we're not gonna make top four'?

Idiot
