Time to put it to bed now.

Why? Serious question btw. Mancini's not a sacred cow who cannot be discussed. He's an incredibly divisive figure who was loathed by some as much as he was loved by many. I agree that he had his part to play in our success in recent seasons and there's much he genuinely deserves thanks for. But ultimately he's now an ex employee having not to subtle digs at current employees. You're right we all know what his faults were, and maybe those who used to be derided for talking about them, feel now that he's been sacked because of them, it's an appropriate time to talk about them openly. It's not an open wound anymore, we have a new manager. So in that sense Mancini's fair game for those who want to praise and those who want to criticise.

I find the whole put it to bed lets move on stuff incredibly tedious. It's a forum where people can say what they like if it's City related. The onus is on you to move on if you find a topic not to your tastes. Just as I do with so much of the forum.
As you can probably tell from my post count I do tend to move on from topics that aren't to my taste, in fact its fair to say i much prefer reading BM than I do posting. I also think much of your repetitive tone towards Mancini is tedious - but as you point out this is a forum so I guess I have to put up with the occasional posters who have an irrational hatred of a man they don't know in real life.
You carry on Billy as is your right, I'll happily pop in now and again so you can put me straight! :-)

Yeah, and you were also among the HUNDREDS of others here, inner and outer, who were slagging off City fans for their support/non-support of Bobby. You're a blithering hypocrite, and in your way, just as clueless as Mancini.

Listen you halfwit
As has been said to you before by a big inner I believe
Don't pontificate to me from the other side of the pond on how I support my club
When you have actually been to one match, yes one,i will cut you some slack

O.k

Only a moron would equate place of residence with status as a "fan" of a sporting club. Sorry to have just insulted morons all over the globe...

Oh, and by the way, Yanks have been known to travel to the UK, and City has played preseason exhibitions here in the States for several years now. Not that that would have occurred to you.

Who said they haven't?
It was you who refused to answer off several posters if you had ever been to a game
As they were pissed off with you attacking match going blues

He is hugely disrespectful to soriano in that interview.

.

Do you honestly think Soriano gives two fucks

Of course he will but he will say 'it is just business' just like Mancini says 'eeeez footbal'.

I would be shocked if Soriano came out and said 'we sacked the guy because he is incapable of impressing in Europe on the big stage, judge him here or Inter, he failed both times hence he got sacked both times.'

I think Soriano will hold his words unlike Mancini who clearly feels resentful. The Spanair quip was a nasty one that didn't need to be said. Dignified silence would be most welcomed and praised.

Maybe. But for all the folk who say Mancini fucked up at City so did Soriano at said airline.

If you look at his CV he is a MBA management type. The world is absolutely full of them. Generally they are about as interesting as watching paint dry. Mancini on the other hand is a passionate know it all who has a temper. Never was gonna work.

Perhaps future colonization of Mars will provide the needed situation for him. Remember that "...in space, no one can hear you whine."

To be fair to Roberto he's doing his best. That interview is the football manager's version of Miley Cyrus twerking for a new boyfriend!

Actually, Billy, it's more akin to Taylor Swift writing songs to complain about her last boyfriend.

The difference between Soriano and Mancini is that Soriano works for City, Mancini doesn't. On that basis I know where my loyalty lies. Maybe you should ask yourself why you're so desperate to defend a former employee whilst continuing to make snide digs about a man who comes with the kind of reputation in football which means he chose where he wanted to work without having to stick his arse out the window and scream "look how fit I am!".

In all fairness Span Air was damned before he came in. He was employed to try and help resolve problems. High fuel prices, recession and higher aviation taxes in an already competitive market is a recipe for disaster.

I never attacked 'match going blues' as such. I replied to attacks by Mancini Inners, regardless of SeasonCard status. Sorry, but you're not nearly bright enough to twist my words.

I will be forever gratefull for what he did for our club...the best football ive seen to date, winning 3 trophies after nothing for as long as Ive been alive and not giving an inch to the media, ferguson or moyes yet remaining dignified.

I can see some of his negatives but what he did far outweighs that for me and imho he deserved one more year ...if at the end of that year then we still werent progressing in the champs league and the team werent performing then fair enough, he goes.

I think that is that he is talking about when he talks about respect

However he has gone and thats that....some people are so bitter though they are now trying to out down what he actually did achieve which is quite sad

He's gone down in my opinion. I never like former players (of any club) slagging off their former club and that goes for former managers as well. It projects a lack of class to me, which is surprising when you think how the bescarfed one came across while he was with us. Time to move on Bob.
