Mancini or Pep era?

Very difficult, the 17 / 18 season had to be the best season I have seen in my lifetime.
Yet there seemed to be more happy days with Mancini, we so things we never thought we would, felt so many highs the season we won the title with mancini.

Both great for different reasons. The Mancini years felt like a real battle between us and United with us in the ascendancy which was a great watch. Few games have come close to the ferocity of those derby clashes since, and a number of players and the manager really connected with the fans in those days.

But watching us dismantle pretty much everyone in sight from September onwards in 2017 through to new year was incredible, as was the feeling of relief after Brighton in the 18/19 run-in followed by the day out at Wembley. I doubt we will see football like that from a city side ever again. We have been blessed this past decade either way.

It was incredible winning the FA cup for the first time in years and that league season in 2012. We really overthrew United, beating them in the FA cup semi and the 6-1.

But let's be honest. Winning the league with 100 points and doing the quad tops anything. Pep is hands down the best manager we've ever had.

Could we have done that without silva, aguero, kompany I know Hughes signed him but Bobby made him. I’m not so sure

2017-2019 under Pep was on a different level to anything under Mancini or Pellegrini. I would go as far as to say that our team that finished a distant second last season was better than Mancini's and Pellegrini's title winning sides. That's how much our standards have gone up under Pep.

It's just that the competition is of much higher standard now.

Your first sentence totally true, but last season better than the Mancini team? no way!

Last season we fell away so much, the formidables season took a lot out of everyone and we have never recovered.

Pep streets ahead of Mancini as a manager/coach , but as a man and character, Mancini all day long.

We love Mancini and Mancini loves us whilst Pep will ghost us once he's finished.

Nothing will ever beat winning the league the first time. We could win 38/38 games in a season and it'll always the 11/12 i remember most fondly.
