Simple question to all Mancini outers who is better and available. I think the answer is no one currently. Plus what exactly has he done wrong? Have we officially lost the title yet? Been knocked out of all competitions? No. Wind your necks in maybe go to a game and hear that most city fans remain behind the manager.

He ran out of ideas at the end of last season, its continued into this.

He is beyond clueless in Europe

He struggles to man manage and often isolates players.

Stubborn, self righteous, argumentative and arrogant, also needs to work on keeping his cool.

Poor in the transfer market.

Apart from that..........

apart from that hes won two trophies in two years and is on course to make it 3 out of 3.

Forza mancini!

I think he will be gone soon.Didnt do himself any favours by saying he was offered the Monaco job.We need a manager who can do better in the champions league. Its laughable that we arent even in that europa cup.

Unreal mate. Our group in the champs league was the toughest I've seen for years. That Monaco story didn't affect him winning the league. I suspect you rarely go to games and spend too much time reading crap papers and nonsense on here.
To not win a game though with the squad of players we have is shocking especially when you consider we failed to qualify last season. Even the the most defiant Mancini supporters cant defend his European record.

Last year as I said previously not only were we cheated away against Munich by terrible officials, we were majorly derailed by tevez's antics. This year had vinny headed that ball against Madrid I suspect our entire campaign would have been different. So year I think I can defend him. We've been in the comp only twice both as a result of mancini's management. It is an unbelievably difficult trophy to win, especially when you are drawn in the only true champions league group.

There is only one and I'd rather stick with Mancini for a couple of more seasons

Why only a couple more seasons ? Surely if you're a fan of his you'd like him to see out his contract at least, I know I would.

Glad you changed your Mind and your right he should see out his contract and stack those trophies HIGH..
;)

Shit excuses though, Ajax are a poor side as are Lisbon yet we failed to beat both. You can go on about refering decisions but the away game at Villarrealour opening goal was from a Balotelli dive to win a penalty so it evens itself out.

Genuine question BS, do you think that part of the reason potential future managers are discussed so much on here is because of our history (meaning many different managers, that never got us anywhere)?

You know where I stand, and I you, it is City first. Discussing faults and areas to improve with the current boss is quite different to discussing a replacement. Watching the scum with taggart has just rubbed salt in the wounds for 20 years, maybe why some hope for managerial stability. On the same note, if things aren't perfect then our de-facto response is to change managers. Is this a hangover from the bad old days?

I think it's dangerous generalising about why people want to discuss changing managers. Right now I think there's genuinely quite a few blues who deep down harbour reservations about whether Mancini is in fact the correct guy to take us forward, despite everything he's achieved here so far. As someone who falls into that category I've got no problem discussing potential replacements.

Is it wrong to harbour reservations about Mancini ? I get the impression quite a few people believe that.

-- Mon Feb 18, 2013 12:21 am --

C'mon mate, don't duck the question. You've posted loads of times that you think Mancini should get two more seasons. Why only two ?

The god that (for some) is mourinho is currently third in the Scottish , sorry, Spanish league.

He is second in his own city. And miles and miles behind the leaders.

He has also caused a humongous split in his dressing room, with cliques and cabals aplenty throughout the club.

He is a renowned media whore (witness for example his petulance against the shite last week, leaving the dressing room to sit alone in the full glare of the worlds media, knowing full well all cameras would be on him) at half time.

He has left clubs riven by strife each time he leaves.

Basically he is the "foreign Harry redknapp".

Mourinho for city?? No thanks , ill vote to stay with the best city manager I've known in my 42 years on this earth.

Some posters on here are the most depressing, Schindler-esque, ungrateful, clueless, knee-jerking fans on the face of the earth.

Forza Mancini. Ten more years please.

Look it's as simple as this. Sacking him for not winning the champs league in his first two attempts is ridiculous. All you outers harp on about is he has a crap record in Europe. Or he is a poor man manager. A. How many great managers have not won that trophy? Answer plenty, has the messiah klopp won it? B. last year he seemed to man manage brilliantly, he lifted a team 8 points behind and won it. If you were at the derby that night you will see how we'll he man managed.

-- Sun Feb 17, 2013 10:27 pm --

Have I suggested everything is rosy? Just don't think sacking Mancini makes sense. As I recall btw we may have been poor against Dortmund at home but we didn't lose plus they are a very decent side who on the night were excellent. News flash sometimes we won't play well. If we sack a manager for two games you have pointed to then Jesus we will never win anything again.
