Don't know why I read this just before setting off.

Sure it's not true, but if it turns out I'm wrong about this I will really struggle to reconcile myself with such an idiotic decision.

Pellegrini is too old, hardly a secure future, Mancini is young and has already won a championship here (and possibly 2 cups). Winning the CL is difficult look at Real Madrid over 10 years since they won it. Mancini can grow into European football.

I hope Mancini stays at city, but we shouldn't take the FA Cup as a given and should the worst happen I'm sure peoples views on Pellegrini may suddenly change. lose to Wigan and give up the title without any serious challenge and poor champions league performance then puts a different spin on it. However, win the Cup and its 4 trophies in 3 years - depends which side of the fence you sit on.

Having finally read through this thread, I think one thing that everyone seems to agree on is the timing of this story. Its shit and it seems its designed to try and destablise us on today of all days.

On Mancini I would class myself as a fence sitter, I will always hold him in high regard for winning us our first silverware in three decades, and for taking the title from the red twats, and for some great signings and great football.
I feel he cant take us much further though, certain games and teams he seems to just have no answers to, I dont like the public falling out that seems to occur with him, and europe seems a real problem for him, not just with City, but at Inter he also struggled with this competition.

So I can see both sides of the coin in regards to the inners and outers, but some of the comments are well over the top. Our owners have done very little if anything wrong since they have come here. I believe they have earnt our trust and if this a club decision then we need to trust the powers that be and see if another big decsion of theirs is proved correct.
If its Mancini decison, then fair play, I'd thank him for all he's done and wish him all the best.

The timing is shit, everything else is just football.
Being serious for a moment, this is pretty much spot on for me, word for word.

Anyway, back to managers who look like lizards.

Actually, this photo reveals something far worse than the fact that the subject closely resembles a lizard - he looks exactly like Souness...

Media stitch up. Bobby will still be with us in September, the bookies will have made a mint and we will have the same manager next season.
Bookies were caned by the run on Moyes.

They got some of it back by starting a stampede on Mourinho but are greedy for more.

The meet with Pelligrini has been "out there" for many days and no rush to back him followed.

Why now?

Genuine question as i don't know much about him bar stuff I've read on the internet but why Pellegrini, his career thus far doesn't seem particularly successful ?

The thing that surprises me, is that on Tuesday night when the Slur rumour was breaking, Sky never ran with it, even thought three of the more reputable newspapers (Telegraph, Guardian and Times) went with the story.

This morning/late last night Sky are running it on the basis of betting patterns!

If I win the euro millions, I'm just going to start firing down any old shit on managers to depart, in an effort to de stabilise clubs before big games.

The Spanish verison of Moyes!! (BUT 10 YEARS OLDER)

why the fuck anyone wants mancini sacked i don't understand. he has won 4 trophies in 3 seasons. that's a great achievment for everyone and don't bother me with stupid posts like "maurinho would have done better" or "random manager would have done better". it's nonsense. mancini had to build a squad from zero when he took over. he had squad where even adam johnson looked like a star player and he managed to fight for the 4th place untill the end of the season. in the next season we finished third above arsenal and totenham and last year we won PL. trophy which wasn't won by liverpool which was the best! team in europe in 07/08/09. yes we failed in CL but do you think that with that squad maurinio or guardiola would have won CL ? or playing in playoff and fucked like arsenal every year is a big achievment ? :D i hope that this thread isn't true and mancini will win another tittle today and continue his job with city.
maybe we need a better manager than mancini, and maybe others are better but pellegrini or pellegrino.............. :DDDD

Now, change "Chelsea" to "Manchester City".

This is a fucking joke, lets face it we as a club are a fucking joke. I suppose the writing was in the wall when they refused bob the players he wanted last August , at the same time spurning the chance to kick on from our championship. We could, had we wanted to, have crushed the rags fergie or no fergie.

Amatures.

Au contraire, this is the clubs last chance to salvage our reputation.

Let's face it, for the last two years we have been dogged by controversy after controversy.

Mancini ostracising Tevez.
Our deterioration in Europe over two seasons.
Mancini having a physical altercation with Balotelli.
Mancini publicly criticising Hart, Kompany, Richards, Tevez, Aguero and Dzeko.
Failing to even attempt to defend our title.
Getting beat by Aston Villa at home in the League Cup.
Poor performances this season against Sunderland, Swansea, Southampton and a whole host of other teams.

You can't say we didn't back him. That is a lie.

If Mancini wanted De Rossi and Hazard, then he should understand that these are top caliber players, where negotiations can become difficult and protracted. Therefore you need back up options, but the players that he wanted like Garcia and Maicon have been colossal failures.

We have backed him with more cash than any other club would have, maybe if he didn't waste so much money on Dzeko, Nasri, Savic, Kolarov, Maicon, Garcia and Balotelli then we would have backed him more last summer.
Very very harsh one sided view!
