Having finally read through this thread, I think one thing that everyone seems to agree on is the timing of this story. Its shit and it seems its designed to try and destablise us on today of all days.

On Mancini I would class myself as a fence sitter, I will always hold him in high regard for winning us our first silverware in three decades, and for taking the title from the red twats, and for some great signings and great football.
I feel he cant take us much further though, certain games and teams he seems to just have no answers to, I dont like the public falling out that seems to occur with him, and europe seems a real problem for him, not just with City, but at Inter he also struggled with this competition.

So I can see both sides of the coin in regards to the inners and outers, but some of the comments are well over the top. Our owners have done very little if anything wrong since they have come here. I believe they have earnt our trust and if this a club decision then we need to trust the powers that be and see if another big decsion of theirs is proved correct.
If its Mancini decison, then fair play, I'd thank him for all he's done and wish him all the best.

I suppose the writing was in the wall when they refused bob the players he wanted last August , at the same time spurning the chance to kick on from our championship. Mancini having a physical altercation with Balotelli.
Mancini publicly criticising Hart, Kompany, Richards, Tevez, Aguero and Dzeko.
Failing to even attempt to defend our title.
Getting beat by Aston Villa at home in the League Cup.
Poor performances this season against Sunderland, Swansea, Southampton and a whole host of other teams.

You can't say we didn't back him. That is a lie.

If Mancini wanted De Rossi and Hazard, then he should understand that these are top caliber players, where negotiations can become difficult and protracted. Therefore you need back up options, but the players that he wanted like Garcia and Maicon have been colossal failures.

We have backed him with more cash than any other club would have, maybe if he didn't waste so much money on Dzeko, Nasri, Savic, Kolarov, Maicon, Garcia and Balotelli then we would have backed him more last summer.

I acknowledge that he has done well during his time with us. Winning the FA Cup and Premier League is a great achievement.

Just checked various betting sites and pellegrini is odds on,. Bloody ludicrous to sack Mancini and I think it will set the club back years IMO. Mancini may want to leave of course if there are conflicts over transfer policies.

We haven't played consistantly well since Tevez came back.

Last season when Mancini sent Tevez packing the club backed him and the players respected him.

Since then he has had his authority eroded. No way Marwood would have messed him around if Mancini had the full authority from the powers that be. No way Balotelli would have been sold without a replacement.

Most of these battles have been of Mancini's own making. He's single minded and stubborn and he's normally right. If we had had a focused Balotelli for the season it would have solved a lot of problems. Trouble is he couldn't keep him focused. Don't think he's really got the appetite to play politics or massage egos.

Interesting to see what comes next. The change has been coming for a while but someone spoke out of turn and is going to pay for leaking plans on the eve of a cup final.

Cutting Guiliem Ballage's balls off would be a good place to start.
