You know, I feel some of you are losing the plot a little.

People are upset about yesterday. I understand that. We lost a cup final. But the way in which we are looking for people to blame and in particular, rounding on Ferran and Txiki is quite frankly bizarre. Take a step back and a deep breath and think about what the fuck some of you are saying.

It is quite clear that the decision was taken some time ago to replace Mancini with Pellegrini. Now, how do you handle this? Do you try to sow up the deal in the background before informing people so as to not distract on the teams performances? Or do you tell the press every step of the way during negotiations? It seems like most of you think it should be the latter. Crazy. What exactly were you expecting after the news reports broke? For Ferran to come out and say actually yes, we are looking for a new manager and Mancini is gone? The day of the Cup final? Really?

These guys are professional. They believe there are better managerial options and have gone about securing one of those options, without feeling the need to brief the press.

There is also this view that the hierarchy should have waited until the season was done before negotiating with another manager. As if by doing so was somehow not classy. Firstly, get real - this is how the world works. Secondly, I assume these are the same people who ranted at Marwood for not getting the transfer business concluded earlier enough last season.

Yesterday wasn't a great day, but we will move on. Surely after everything Khaldoon has done that has been right he can be afforded a degree of trust. We are a club that is in great hands. Yet the flapping on here has been unbelievable.

What we are witnessing in the press and Twitter today will be long forgotten, much like Hughes was.
Great post mate.

Txiki and soriano come out of this with great deal of credit in my eyes. From what I hear they had to act decisively to head of barca. If they've done that then they've done well.

Hopefully rm will get a send off by the fans next week, then onwards and upwards for mcfc. I see exciting times ahead.

Oh come on. Great credit? Negotiate and get your man in by all means I'm fine with that. Oversee a media shitstorm that makes us look like fucking amateurs? I'm sure Khaldoon was overjoyed by the speculation swirling round him with the worlds media looking on. Not part of the masterplan I would suggest.

As for that Barca bollocks. Give me a break. We have been talking to the guy since February and we 'just had to tie it up the day before the Cup final'? Yeah right. And the reason why you couldn't keep the deal quiet until the day after the cup final would be? Answers on a fucking postcard.
Yeah, txiki and soriano are the first to football chief execs with the ability to silence the whole world. They should have got an inter continental super injunction, eh?

WOW. So let's bring someone in who's only concerned about the next 3 years, then fucks off and leaves us in the shit? Great plan!

But that the reality of football these days - there will never ever be another Ferguson

Maybe you haven't noticed the enormous football academy under construction? What's the point of that if we just bring in short term managers who want to buy the finished article for immediate gain, not long term future?

People on here laughing about Moyes, but he was given a 6 year contract to carry on the ongoing projects at the club. In six years from now, Pellegrini will be sat on a rocking chair in Chile. And I doubt very much that Ferran and Txiki will still be in Manchester either. We need some real City people at the club.

In 6 years from now Moyes could also be out on his arse having overseen the worst period in the Rags recent history.. Saying we need real City people at the club is all well and good, but what if none of those real City people are good enough to oversee the project?

Having real City people that are good enough will take time. Ferran and Txiki are the best we've got for now. They may not be there forever but they don't need to be for us to be successful. Ferguson at the rags has completely skewed blues views on how to achieve our goals. It's not the only way and it's arguably not even the most successful anyway!

What do you think City should have done, that they did not, to keep this quiet?

Awkward...

Yes the last thing we need is to become another Chelsea or Real Madrid.

We need stability. Not chopping and changing.

Mancini deserves one more season in my opinion.

Like others on here, I tend to have a nosey at other fans forums such as Rag Cafe and RAWK and it's true that none of them rate Bob and are shitting themselves at the prospect of us getting a 'decent' manager.
Spot on...the inners just don't see it

Rags want us to keep him...that speaks volumes
