Dont let it get to you mate. You know the answer; just avoid the thread.
It's footy forum, that's all; just leave the thread to those of us who do wanna discuss it & compare.

-- Sun Sep 01, 2013 3:47 pm --

Team is missing a leader, and Yaya is not active enough for a 2 man midfield, he needs Milner behind him with Fern. Give it time I am sure Pelle is assessing who he can rely on eachweek. Milner deserves to be in this team without a doubt.

I agree 100% on Milner, except I'd put him at CM with Toure & drop Fern. Theres no-one fitter than Milner, excellent mobility & can do box to box. And his passing is certainly no worse than what Fern has being shown so far. Milner is well used to the cut & thrust of the Prem & is an excellent tackler too

The only people that can judge Pellegrini are the ones who decide if he remains in post or not. It matters very little what the fans think but we are allowed to have an opinion on him.

Mine is that I am slightly underwhelmed so far and the big concern is that the CL will be on us before he finds his feet. If we fail to get out of the group then he has a big problem with the people that decide his fate.

Way too early to compare yet. If you believe the rumours that the majority of the players wanted to leave if Mancini continued then it was necessary to replace him. However it was always going to be tough to replace our most successful manager in recent history. We need to give pelle time to implement his own style and you never know we might be even better.

As I said too early to say at this point.

Of course you can draw comparisons - you are comparing two football managers - not a football manager and a fucking plumber.
My yardstick and criteria for success being trophies won.
Sorry if this simplistic rather than holistic viewpoint fails to meet your approval.

seems a solid theory to me

id just go to a 4-5-1 until the new lads are ready for our league to stop the midfield getting overrun, we will still beat most at home with just 1 up top with the likes of Silva Nasri Toure chipping in and i would defo go 4-5-1 away at the moment

I agree mate, that is our best formation for aways. Negredo/Aguero up top with Navas and Jovetic wide Silva and Yaya pushing up through the middle and Rodwell/Fern as holding midfielder.

Too early to judge of course but early indications say that with mancini we never looked beatable. With pelli we look like pub team.
That's a very fantasised view.

We looked very beatable many times last season.

But no doubt that was the internal agenda to force out the greatest manager ever.

Funny how none of the top recruiting clubs snapped him up this summer.
