Absolutely tragic the way some people brush aside Mancini's incompetence in Europe as some inconsequential thing which isn't at all important.
Out of interest BS, how many campaigns has the man had in Europe?? Genuinely interested
I'd say the club in itself is far to wet behind the ears, however there's no doubt in my mind he'll win a champions league trophy within the next 6/7 years, the only problem is it probably won't be here!!!! A manager of his ilk improves because of the motivation they take from failure, he's made many mistakes this year granted but for achieving the ultimate goal of winning the league he should be afforded another crack, IMO he'll win the league if still here next year!!!!
I really don't understand this argument to be honest. How, as a club, can we be too inexperienced to perform well in the Champions League. I would understand if our players were equally 'wet behind the ears' as the club as a whole is. But they aren't?
So what is it that is holding us back.....the fact that us, as fans, are new to the champions league?
It just doesn't wash with me, we have World Cup winners, Euro winners, Europa League Cup winners, and Champions League Winners in our squad. They aren't wet behind the ears.
Why does the fact that Manchester City, as a name, are new to the Champions League, affect us. It didn't affect Harry Redknapp and Tottenham, and nor did it affect Napoli.
The argument just doesn't wash with me- we have a team of experienced players, who aren't wet behind the ears.
exactly, backroom staff with plenty of experience, players such as toure and silva who have played on the biggest of stages and a manager who has ad several seasons in the champions league.
i think the 2 groups were incredibly unlucky for us and if we get a lesser group this year, we'll go through IMO.
but why the fuck mancini won't buy pace i don't know.
