it's football and even the best team in the world will lose games and have periods of inconsistency
the best manager in the world will make mistakes and get his tactics wrong sometimes
Mancini should be judged on his record and his record so far is excellent (Europe aside). Europe may well ultimately be his undoing but he has earned another shot at it for me and many others. If next season panned out the same as this then I would understand the view that he may have taken us as far as he is able and would understand the owners thinking that a Mourinho, or similar, might take us up another gear.
But not before and even then I personally would need to be persuaded that a Chelsea-esque managerial rotation policy is the best way forward for the club and change brings no guarantees. I think he's earned some patience and we've earned some stability.
