Mancini stays another 3 seasons then Pep will come in ;) you didn't hear it first here!

For me this will be ideal situation :)

Also these managers who have been sounded out by city?! City wouldn't be doing there job if they don't look at a "what if" happened..

Not much we can do if neither Pep nor Mourinho want to come to City but a potentially horrible strategic miscalculation if we did not try and get them; on top of, IMO, a horribly misguided transfer window last summer.

aside from newspapers reporting speculation as fact, we will probably never know how hard we really went after Pep (and maybe Mourinho).

We may find out (well) down the line but we can only speculate at the moment.

Pep's doing his stint at bayern then its all systems go for the swamp..

I wouldn't be against Pellegrini at all, though I'd much prefer a "mutual agreement" with Mancini as opposed to a public sacking. I think we'll see Mancini at Monaco or back in Italy next season, personally.

Yeah I read listened to all the so called Journalists who have mentioned this situation I take it all with a pinch of salt personally...

Where on earth has the Peregrine talk came from? I think Taxi will give Mancini another season but with his buys but if it was up to me I'd appoint Brian Laudrup.

This is my feeling entirely and definitely my hope. When and if this happens then i can all but guarantee we will see faster more attacking football and GIVEN THE TIME we will reap the rewards, we certainly won't see us going backwards and not progressing and that DOES of course mean the decision making, signings and basic standard of football NOT deteriorating as it clearly has this campaign.

edit, Michael of course, doh!

It just seems such a blindingly simple and obvious choice to make. Soriano and txiki may have their philosophies and their power bases but ultimately they also have their targets on the field and financially.

Obvious, true - but there just doesn't seem to be any inclination from the Club to make that choice. All the chatter seems to point towards him returning to Chelsea, with no effort from our side to convince him otherwise.

I think you both have to take into account that Mancini lost his last job to Mourinho and very publicly had a meltdown over it which nearly derailed Inter's season. If we are talking to him I suspect the most important aspect of the conversations is going that they're held in secret. As per the Barca book when they spoke to Mou about that job, which they did in Portugal to avoid all possible leaks and press intrusions.
