So you think vinny will be happy with this? Laughable. He's the club captain.
I'm still waiting for one single reason why this was better in the media than behind closed doors.
I'll give you three reasons why it would be better behind closed doors:
1) it embarrasses the captain
2) it pisses off the other players
3) it has the club in the headlines for the wrong reasons.
Just one reason why this was done in the medianplease. Anyone...
Manchester City's army of loyal supporters have a right to know when our manager is unhappy and why (if he thinks it's something we should know about of course.)

Bobby has every right to be cross about this. Non of us know if Vinny is unhappy about the manager's comments but if he is, tough.

Having listened to the press conference I can't see what the issue is with Mancini speaking here. Firstly it's a legitimate question for the media to ask. Why is a player who has not appeared for his club all this time playing an international? This would have been in the papers regardless of whether or not Roberto answered the question. It fits the current media agenda of 'City are falling apart internally' and I honestly think they'd have run with it as a story anyway and given their current story line would have used it as a stick to beat Mancini with anyway.

The real discussion here should be why Vinny chose to ignore his bosses wishes (he makes this very clear in the press conference) and go play anyway. Maybe one for another thread.

A small remark blown out of proportions by everyone just because the team isn't doing well in the league.

Maybe Vinny was ready to play and because he loves his country and wants to play in the World cup.
This is nothing new players will take the national side over the club side most of the time.

That's fine. I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with him criticising the Belgium FA in the media. I have no problem with him being annoyed with vinny. What I have a problem with is him telling the world he has a problem with vinny.

Still not one person has given one reason why his displeasure is best expressed through the media. 'He was asked a question' is completely irrelevant. All he needed to say was 'I haven't talked to vinny yet' or 'vinny juat loves playing football' or some other non-committal answer.

What the hell is wrong with all the moaners?
Moaners are waiting like hyenas and vultures preying on our manager.
Are you even humans?

Make the comment in private not in public.

Why? Are the they fragile or somthing?

Italian managers have never held back in this respect and Mancini is no different.
He's done it for 3 years now and it hasn't exactly done us any harm has it? Players have to grow up and be men not little boys.
