Maybe Col but personally I really liked the guy. I know there were issues in the dressing room etc but as a fan I can truly say he gave me the moment I and we all dreamed of.

Yes I did. Even when we lifted the title I didn't believe he was the man for us in the long term. I felt he deserved a new contract, because you can't sack a manager who has just won the league, but I always knew his character flaws would be his undoing. And I wasn't shy about saying so on here either.

Ferguson wasn't exactly Father Christmas either but he got the job done. Expecting a manager in that mould to be perfectly fine with incompetence is self-defeating and unrealistic.

You really need to drop the ferguson references. Ferguson was respected by all of his players, and that's what made him great. Mancini's players laugh at him and think he's a dickhead. That's an enormous difference. Has the penny not dropped yet?

That's why he's at galatasary. No one would hire him in the summer.

Ferguson was despised by his players early on but this is besides the point.

And to be fair, you're talking in rumours and heresay and asking us to take your word for it when you pretty early on declared that you disliked Mancini. You aren't somebody who should be taken as a non-biased poster on the facts surrounding Mancini's sacking and relationship with his players.

It isn't rumours or hearsay. It's stone cold fucking fact. Stick your fingers in your ears as much as you want.

Everyone at the club (apart from 3 players) thought he was a wanker. Many threatened to leave because of him. He has an enormous Barney with the most level headed player in that dressing room,you know, the one you called a "leader" the other week.

He was the weak link. Everyone in the club celebrated when he left. Not quite the same as Ferguson, is it?
