Mancini

Well seeing as he accepted the job behind his predecessors back, and held talks with other clubs, I don't really think he's got any right to complain.

Of course the little bit of information you forget to include is the papers which ran the story he was to join Moanco also stated this was due to the fact his position could not be guaranteed due to the failings in the champions league and the fact we had fallen behind United in the race for the championship.

So easy to quote part of the story to paint someone in a bad light.

Wished the club kept quiet when we were using the press to slag him off.

Wish he kept quiet now that he is gone.

RM was brilliant for us, and nothing said since he left will change that.

But he's gone, and everyone needs to move on.

He wasn't a "top bloke" to the people he worked with. That was the problem.

Maybe Col but personally I really liked the guy. I know there were issues in the dressing room etc but as a fan I can truly say he gave me the moment I and we all dreamed of.

Like a jilted teenage girl complaining she had only just spent Christmas with her boyfriend when he dumped her.

Thank God we got rid. What a berk he is. Nothing is ever ever his fault. Always someone else.

There will be a lot of people laughing within Manchester City at this article.

Dave.

Did you feel that way the day we lifted the title. Genuine question?

Yes I did. Even when we lifted the title I didn't believe he was the man for us in the long term. I felt he deserved a new contract, because you can't sack a manager who has just won the league, but I always knew his character flaws would be his undoing. And I wasn't shy about saying so on here either.

Not our most shining hour, but it's been done to death on here.

Roberto is entitled his say but we have to move on, we as City, are better for the split (though this is not the highpoint of our season so far).

Not sure you can argue that's true yet. Don't we have the same points as we had at this stage last season? Yes some of the football has been exhilarating but the defence has gone to shit.

Ferguson wasn't exactly Father Christmas either but he got the job done. Expecting a manager in that mould to be perfectly fine with incompetence is self-defeating and unrealistic.
Ferguson had a great relationship with most if not all of the key players at Swamp, particularly his CEO. Also most of his players respected him. I don't believe there was any incompetence at City.

Aye, that's the one. We should have kept quiet, so should he. They both look like mugs now, just that Mancini is the slightly more justified mug.

I reckon it was still a better place to work than most folk have to put up with p.b
The stuff I've read what he aparently did makes me laugh tbh,it would be trivial in most workplaces and must happen every day in them
I mean back page news Mancini wouldn't say hello to me in the morning, says kitman

I agree though he had to go as he lost the dressing room.

You really need to drop the ferguson references. Ferguson was respected by all of his players, and that's what made him great. Mancini's players laugh at him and think he's a dickhead. That's an enormous difference. Has the penny not dropped yet?

That's why he's at galatasary. No one would hire him in the summer.

Ferguson was despised by his players early on but this is besides the point.

And to be fair, you're talking in rumours and heresay and asking us to take your word for it when you pretty early on declared that you disliked Mancini. You aren't somebody who should be taken as a non-biased poster on the facts surrounding Mancini's sacking and relationship with his players.

Comparing Ferguson's relationship after 25 years and the club and numerous trophies isn't fair when comparing him to Mancini in two years.

Also, Ferguson himself details his shouting matches with Edwards in those early days over transfer fees.

And City's summer of 2013 was incompetent when it came to transfers, I didn't think this was something that wasn't an accepted opinion?
