Good news mate, because you might have a new manager to worship soon ;-)

Reports today.... probably bollocks... but some senior players want Vieira to be the next manager if Bobby is replaced! Really....

Got to be bollocks

He could do it until the end of the season if it becomes apparent Mancini's relationship with the squad had broken down. It isn't that hard a job with a squad like that. But we need a big name beyond that.

Tony Book's not doing much these days either.

Presumably on the same basis managing Real Madrid must be a piece of piss but your mate seems to be making even heavier weather of La Liga.

I can only aspire to one day be as predictable as you.

My allegiances are to MCFC, not any player or manager.

When I believe the time is right for RM to be replaced I'll have no problem saying so.

Genuine question.

What kind of situation would be the right time to replace Bobby in your opinion?

Depends how the rest of the season pans out. Win the cup, or fight back in the league (not necessarily winning it) and I think he'll be safe for next year.

Get knocked out of the cup and continue to struggle in the league and he will be on thin ice at the end of this season.

If he is still here I wouldn't think he'd survive another champions league failure. And the pressure for immediate improvements in league results and performances will be there as well.

Isn't that delaying the inevitable somewhat?

If we wait for next years CL campaign we are doubling away another season as we will be looking for replacement mid season when there's no preseason etc, also harms our domestic league chances.

There's never a perfect time to sack anybody, you just weigh up pros and cons. Think like this maybe, out of league and europe, plans to overhaul squad in summer. Surely the timings good now being as we have a kitty to spend in summer as well as also having a clean slate and a preseason to drill players.

Rather fear that anyone recognisably dropped against Leeds United and, then, against Chelsea will be made into a scapegoat by the media. Of course a performance such as Saturday's should never be deemed acceptable, but I worry that one or two players may end up carrying the can for the failings of many.

Don't criticise the Eye-Gouging One LB!!!!! You know the rules when Doom is about! You can only say good things about Mourinho, slag off Mancini and try and belittle others who do not agree with you.

We don't need the media to scapegoat one or two of our players mate.
We do the fucking job for them on this very forum, far better than they ever could.

But you're presuming that he isn't capable of turning things around. I believe he is.

There's something funny going on. First Duncan Castles' article says he's a dead man walking. Rumours of him resigning last week, Tevez disappears, Kompany not even in the squad, Milner dropped and they collectively play like an under-8's team on Saturday then none will even talk to MCFC TV.

The antipathy between Mancini and parts of his squad is apparently palpable. It has been referenced several times in the last 48 hours but a lot of senior players are yet to forgive Mancini for trying to hang Lescott out to dry to hide his own inadequacies and mistakes after the game against Ajax in Amsterdam.

In terms of him cracking the whip ... he's far too arrogant to see that he is part of the problem rather than part of the solution, hence why he continues to lash out publicly at individual players.

I have no doubt in my mind that Txiki and Ferran will have been as appalled by what they saw in Southampton as most of us Blues were. The players will no doubt get a rollicking, but the buck will stop with the manager.

Just had a very similar phone conversation with a blue mate. You can tell a mile off that the players have lost confidence in him. It seems to me like things may have happened behind the scenes, and this latest media rant appears to be part of it. He's like Alan Ball in his last few weeks, blaming the players en masse.

My great hope, as I've said before, is that our new top brass are football people, unlike Khaldoon, and will have already seen through Mancini, his unbalanced squad, his odd selections and substitutions and the constant week-on-week underperformance from this group of players. They will know that hanging players out to dry publicly is not the way to motivate them.

My mate also gave me an interesting theory, and he knows his football well(used to be a professional player). He says that he believes Mancini is not making the subs any more, it's Platt, writing down changes and bringing them to Mancini for approval. He believes Mancini has lost all confidence in himself. Interesting theory.

If he's right, then we have to get him out of the club now. Not tomorrow, now.

Your posts are tiresome, I get the feeling you're happy the way this season's going and will be hoping Leeds win on Sunday, you don't support this club.

How disappointingly true.

That is a complete and utter assumption on your part. Just because someone has a different opinion on what is best for the club doen't mean they don't have the best interests of the club at heart.
