If we're saying Milner is a vital part to us beating CSKA at home on Wednesday night then it would appear we may be going backwards a little bit
Of course he's vital to it, unless of course you want to play Sinclair ?

If you read some of my other posts, I didn't actually agree with the sub as it happened, because I would not have brought on Nasri as the replacement, I would have brought on Fernandhino to sit alongside Fernando in front of the back four, but I would have taken Milner off, because I know we need him on Wednesday night, in a game that I'm afraid to say, is probably more important right now to the club, than a mid table clash, with 28 more league games to come.

Incidentally the game was "won", united didn't score, and most of the supposed "panic" was down to others not doing their job, such as Dzeko who while he may have come back to defend a couple of corners, he offered absolutely f**k all when we got the ball, and wanted to hold on to it further up the pitch (again).

Convenient to fight an argument which can not be proved.

We don't know If Utd's return into the game was caused by the subs or coincident with the subs, and we can't know

Correct. Rags had pressure due to becoming desperate and going route one to A&E.

Given the amount of attacking talentmon display for the cunts yesterday, they were always going to have a bit of pressure yet some on here seem to foolishly think otherwise.

Worse still, they want to use it as a stick to beat the gaffer with.

So we won the game despite of the manager did we?

His "naive" tactics had us winning the game 1-0 and it should have been more but for the ref and his so called "naive" subs maintained that winning margin.

How the fuck some of you think that we won despite him is laughable.

10 mins of hoofball from the rags doesnt mean he doesnt know what he is doing lol.

Let me ask a couple of questions then.
1. How do you think Kolarov would have faired against Januzaj or Di Maria?
2. Were we in total control for 70 minutes until the substitutions?
3. Do you think the substitutions effected the game?
4. Could you have predicted with an amazing degree of certainty the effect the substitutions would have on the game?
5. Did Pellegrini's decisions make our chances of winning the game more certain or less certain?
6. Should we stop bleating about things we cant control ie referees decisions and focus on the things we can control ie the pattern of the game?

7. Going to get right behind a man that won a double in his first ever season, has beaten the rags in his 3 games against them and has got us in a tidy position to kick on and hopefully have another very succesful season.

You'd only ever save players for a big game if the game you're currently playing in has been won

Considering we all knew how important Milner was going to be yesterday in stopping Di Maria (see Di Maria's first 70 minutes) i would suggest it was vital to have him on the pitch for the full 90 minutes

If we're saying Milner is a vital part to us beating CSKA at home on Wednesday night then it would appear we may be going backwards a little bit

A derby game at 1-0 is not won until the full time whistle is blown, if they had got an equaliser would you have said that saving Milner for Wednesday was the right thing to do? Would you bollocks

If we had scored when Navas hit the post after the substitutions we'd be lauding him genius then right?

Very fine lines mate, and considering we won the magnanimous thing to do IMO is to move on to Wednesday's games. Over analysis of a derby we won basically at a canter seems counter productive to me.

My comments aren't in hindsight, as soon as Milner went off i had my head in my hands, it was the wrong decision regardless of what is to come on Wednesday night

Clearly if Navas had scored it would have been game over, but the substitutions didn't neccesarily stop our attacking threat (until Kun came off) but it opened us up to getting caught on the counter and saw a few bit of panic in defence which hadn't been seen up until the 70 minute mark

United would have had a go in the last 15 anyway, regardless of the changes we had made, but for anyone to say that the Milner substitution was obviously the right thing to do 'cause we won' is a braver man than me

But the main thing is the 3 points and hopefully we will see more confidence in the upcoming games

This bellend says Rags WON 1-0

Utter horseshit I cant believe its been published.

We need Kun on Wednesday night, and id say a damn sight more than we need Milner, but yet he stayed on till the 85th minute and only came off because of the complete balls up that Pelle made of the Dzeko substitution, which ended up with him playing most of his 15 minute cameo on the left hand side

That's not really the point tho mate, im not anti-Pellegrini but I am anti-ridiculous decisions at important times of the game in important games

We come on here and admit if a player has had a poor game, so it shouldn't be any different for the manager, whoever is in charge

And the answers to the first 6 questions are?

Unless you are sat on the bench and privvy to what is being discussed during the game, we have no idea why he made the decisions he did, none.

He Gets paid to make them and so far in his career, he has done a fantastic job.

We won the game 1-0 and it should and probably would have been 4-0 had the ref not been fucking blind/shit scared/ corrupt.

How the fuck anyone can have a moan is beyond me it really is.
