go on then what are they?
Catching
Distribution accuracy
Distribution Speed
Command of his area
Ball control at his feet
Do you think he is strong in these areas?

and in goalkeeping terms Joe Hart is still learning as well.
Of all the players in our squad Hart you can almost guarantee will work the hardest to build on his weak areas. His character won't allow him not to and so he will get his chance (or should)

His command of his area is good. He is a leader in there, you can hear him instructing other players what to do and he takes charge of anything that comes into the 6 yd area (our back four especially the fullbacks have been very culpable of not defending the mid/back post area over the last few seasons when balls are coming into the box.
most goal keepers tend to punch nowadays when under pressure and hart is certainly good at that as well..his catching when the right thing to do is absolutely fine.
we've all said that his distribution is his weak point so I'm not sure why you have put that down (twice) - maybe to try and emphasise a point??????
His ball control with his feet is fine....his distribution is where the work is needed not his actual control of a football with his feet..so like i said ....your other points are just irrelevant
Just wondering if you saw the everton/utd friendly last night...that gk de gea that everyone touts as one f the best making an absolute howler with a back pass to him and conceding a corner.
All gk's will make mistakes with the ball at their feet. Yes Hart can get better with his distribution, no one is saying he doesn't need to. (well Im certainly not anyway) but he is fantastic keeper and one we are lucky to have
Not sure DeGea is actually one of the best if he's asked to be a sweeper keeper though. Seems to panic under pressure to me.
We never question his desire and dedication to work on it. But the question is, will he be able to adapt and how long would it be? If Pep only stays for 3 years, are you ready to waste a year out of those 3 having Pep's playing system being compromised?and in goalkeeping terms Joe Hart is still learning as well.

The main point I've been making is that there are other areas of the squad that need attention before the keeper does....we will have a budget of some sort and that money should be spent on other areas that are much more critical. Central midfield, left back being two at least
fully agree...its just some on here think he is better than hart...I don't think he is....Like Ive said before people are just buying into the media bullshit. De Gea makes tonnes of mistakes (ones for which if Hart made them would be back page news (just like the one in the friendly vs Everton) If Hart was to make one say vs arsenal on sunday you can bet your life numerous media outlets along with some people on here would use it as a battering ram to try and force their point across whereas last nights mistake by DeGea isn't even mentioned by anyone anywhere.
Compromised how? By having one of the worlds top 5 GOALKEEPERS in net.We never question his desire and dedication to work on it.
