If Zinchenko stays, what’s the use of getting Cucurella. Than again I think Pep hasn’t enough trust in Zinchenko. Not have loads on here other than sympathy for his country’s situation.
Pity as Zinchenko has a lot going for him and he is imho the best LB in the squad. Furthermore I think the inclusion of Haaland might be to the good of Zinchenko’s style of play.
Cucurella might be good or better than either Zinchenko or Cancelo, but that is what he needs to prove. So far he has done well in his first PL season for Brighton. And that’s it.
If Zinchenko leaves (and from the players’ point of view the time is there) than I happily welcome Cucurella and see how he turns out after settling in.
