No it's not. We can compare Cucu to all similar Fullbacks who have moved this transfer window.
Tagliafixo, Raum, Sosa, Grimaldo, etc. We can check the price range on all those guys and none of them are close to 30 million. So no, it's not a low ball. Brighton might want more, but let's stop pretending 30 million is chicken change. :(
he's far far better than all you've mentioned. its definitely a lowball and it's weird to pretend otherwise

It's quite obvious Brighton haven't got a replacement lined up yet for him.
I'm sure if they'd got it in place then this would be moving a lot faster.

We all should know by now the charade of a transfer, it's pure pantomime.

......and oh yes it is :)
I got one for them. Coat them only 7 million. And he is mint.

As some of us have noted begrudgingly before, Cucu is NOT better than Zinchencko. Perhaps a superior defensive left back, the way Walker is a superior defensive RB to Cancelo. But I'm not sure one can say Categorically that Walker is better than Cancelo. It just depends on what you are discussing.

Cucu and Zinchencko should cost about the same to be honest.
I have to disagree regarding the left back position. From what i have seen of Cucurella......he is better positionally and he is faster,he is also his equal in terms of technical ability.

Green Bay Packer's quarterback, whose home field is Lambeau Field where City played on Saturday. One of the most instantly recognizable sportsmen over here. Won the Super Bowl and has been MVP (Most Valuable Player - Yank parlance) at least once. Hope that helps ;)

Big City fan too… allegedly.

So if £30M is NOT too low, why do City continue to carry on with any sort of negotiations ? It appears that City do not agree with you.
Because, Brighton wasn't satisfied with the offer. But it's not objectively low.

City concluding he is a 30 million player is in line and above what the current market of Leftbacks are going for. I.e. all less than 30 million. Adding a ,5 million English tax to an average of less than 25 million brings it to about 30 million. That's an honest evaluation. It's not like they offered a price below what the general good LB is going for. They didn't.

Brighton wanting more has no bearing on that valuation. They are within their rights to want more. But 30 million is objectively NOT low.
