If Cucu refuses to train or play because he dosnt get the transfer straight away would you still be happy to have him? To me its a bold move by Cucu, but i can understand why.

Bloom will turn us down for the same reason that Levy did and to that's to prove that he's the Billy Big Balls negotiator (its all the Brighton fans have been rattling on about since they came on here).

It also doesnt help that we're run by Arabs, and I'll bet a pound to a penny that if it was Liverpool or Chelsea coming in for him at exactly the same price, this would've got done by now.
Not at all, Kane refusing to hand in a request was down to the 15m+ he’d of lost in loyalty bonus, he was done a kipper by levy, no such thing here!

The question is also I suppose, would the Brighton manager still be happy to have an “asset” like that on the books, until Jan next year at the earliest, where he wasn’t being utilised and at best was making a half-hearted effort. In that scenario I can see manager putting some pressure on chairman (to get rid).

If he has put a requests in Brighton have every right to refuse it with his contract length and we still negotiate to try and reach an agreement.
But if he starts acting like a dick though with any kind of refusal to train or play then we should stop any pursuit just like we did with Kane
If he does that he'll end up at Liverpool, they are quite happy to take players under those circumstances.

It’s the final nail in the coffin mate. We are still going to have to cough up though.

I’m still not sure Bloom budges. The difference now is that he is risking the negative PR of turning down a 300% increase (when they say they they will let players go if they get a reasonable offer) AND the player has offered, by way of a written transfer request, to waive his own money. The relationship between Cucu and the Brighton fans won’t be the same now.

Anyone looking to join Brighton looks at that and says no thanks or insists on a release clause going forward.

I think Bloom will still turn City down, but now I think he would be making the mistake rather than City. Happy to be wrong and I really didn’t think Cucu would put in a transfer request.

At least this is moving now.
Maybe im being a bit thick here but why is he waiving money if he hands in a transfer request ? Genuine question

In reality what difference does a "transfer request" make.
Does it mean he loses bonuses or any other financial consideration.
Everyone already knew he wanted a transfer anyway.
Generally speaking once a player puts a transfer request in the die is cast. He’s going.
If the club don’t agree to sell it definitely means they will have an unhappy player on their hands and nobody wants that.
It creates an atmosphere that’s no good for club player or fans.
I predict the deal will be done for 40 or thereabouts.
