That sounds like gossip, Bloom/Barber and Potters model isnt acquiring players on loan's but to buy quality youth, develop and sell on as profit.

This is a made up story. Brighton do not tend to loan in players, or transfer in or out with lots of add on clauses. They do not tend to sell many first team players.

42m with add ons feels about right. Brighton deserve a decent wack for thier best player, could easily argue they deserve a bit more. We know how it feels, it happened to us in the past, you can't blame them for being pissed at the thought of losing him.
Even if he is found not guilty, can't see Mendy playing for City again. He wasn't good enough before and that won't have changed.
If he's not guilty, the club will pay up his contract and release him. He can never play in this country again. He'll be villified wherever he goes

The '£20 Million apart' stories dont add up. City have been pursuing Cucurella since late may and would have known he has 3 years left on his contract, therefore Brighton would have made the price known to City, if that's $50 Million and City have been trying to negotiate it down for two months I'm dissapointed. 10 Sister clubs and academies around the world and you can't find/develop a decent left back? if Cucurella is so important to Peps style of Play why wasn't he scouted at Getafe, were they to busy looking at duds like Garcia & Torres?

If Brighton had paid £5mil for Cucurella last summer then I’d understand us thinking his value is circa £30mil, but we aren’t that stupid as to think Bloom will accept that figure and just double his money when we all know top drawer full backs go for circa £50mil.
