Plenty of time to get it right. The mistake now would be to rush in just because we lost out on Cucu. The club will have a plan and we will have a new lb before the window closes.I think its safe to say we will be looking at other targets..
We need a left back but if the club doesnt want to pay what Brighton want then there is no way that its going to happen.
Move onto the plan B whoever that is...we have a month to get it sorted
Good for them but not 1 journalist’s is willing to acknowledge the elephant in the room…an unhappy player. Keep him by all means but in the long run it won’t work out. Guarantee he is sold for a lesser amount within 18 months.
Brighton can claim the fantasy victory for now. The reality is they will have damaged their recruitment process and club image to future players. Agents talk.

Repeated Brief from Brighton then

Yes I was. Pep said himself he didn’t want to sell Zin but had to let him go to play as a guaranteed starter every week. Next ?Weren’t you telling us Pep didn’t want to lose Zinchenko and preferred him to Cucurella?
Circus is a perfect way to describe this transfer. Brighton will get a pat on the back from the old guard. Anyone but City. It’s an illogical argument. I fail to see why any other club should be punished for Arsenal being Arsenal and chronically overpaying for a bang average player.
It’s like Leicester trying to claim Fofana is worth £100m because United paid £80m for Maguire, and he’s shite.
Just because some idiot overpaid once, it doesn’t mean everyone else is going to jump in line and accept these prices as sensible.
Anyway - I hope we move on now. He’s simply not good enough to entertain the circus Brighton are creating here.
True. Can guarantee if United, Chelsea, Dippers or Arsenal wanted him they would sell for 35Circus is a perfect way to describe this transfer. Brighton will get a pat on the back from the old guard. Anyone but City.
Let’s not get carried away. £51m to the Arsenal -:)True. Can guarantee if United, Chelsea, Dippers or Arsenal wanted him they would sell for 35
They charged Arsenal £50 million for Ben White! What are you talking about?True. Can guarantee if United, Chelsea, Dippers or Arsenal wanted him they would sell for 35

Then why did you say I should wait and see who we sign before I complain, when you now changed your argument to "2 senior fullbacks is enough to start the season with as long as we sign someone before the window closes"? Your arguments are incoherent, and doesnt make any sense. But alright, you might think starting the season with 5 senior defenders fighting for 4 places (Cancelo, Walker, Ake, Stones, Dias (Laporte is injuried since last season still)) is fine, nothing to worry about or any reason that signing a fullback before the season started should have been a priority. I disagree and think we could and should have sorted this out sooner. That doesnt mean I'm writing the season off, or think Txiki is useless, just that I think we would be in a much better position if we had handled this situation with a bit more urgency. Lets agree to disagree.
Why? It’s highly thought we underpaid for Phillips. Brighton are playing hard ball for their best assets. They sold white to arsenal for 50 so how are they included in this claim?True. Can guarantee if United, Chelsea, Dippers or Arsenal wanted him they would sell for 35
Up their with dave whelan’s broken leg. The myth, the man, the legend.Yep - they’ll get the ‘We showed City who’s boss’ cup, previously held by Tottenham and Napoli amongst others, while we’ll quietly get on with winning the League instead.
They can talk about it in hallowed, hushed tones on the stadium tour for years to come.
Summer 2022 - our crowning moment. Our great leader stuck it to those bastards at City, and everyone was talking about us………for a couple of weeks. The nation’s gaze was upon us, dazzled by our audacity. Yes, they might have gone on and won the league anyway - and yes, no fucker worth anything would ever consider signing for us again. And I know we sold him to Barcelona on tick for half the price the next summer. But that summer of ‘22 - boy did we show them. We really stuck it to them. Ask your granddad about it!
