We have been talking about him all summer not just after a friendly defeat, that’s some desperate shite you posted there mate. City needing a left back is not a new topic.
The lunatics have taken over the asylum. We had Zin, Cancelo, Ake and Bendy to cover Lb. One is heading to jail and the other has been sold.

Only 2 things will happen between now and the window closing. 1 city will sign a lb or 2 city will not buy a lb. The manic hysteria will not make any difference. If we have to go with what we have now then so be it.

It would be interesting to know how much say Pep has over buys. I would guess he has the final say ? Hes the best in the world imo so would Txiki dare to say your having this player over another?
Its only my guess, but I’d say when looking at players for a position Txiki and Pep go through a list and come up with maybe a short list then Pep leaves it to Txiki and Barradi to go out and try to get the number one target working to a budget Khaldoon and Soriano approve. Failing that target I’d guess he just leaves it to them to work though any others on the short list.
Just my guess though on how this all works.

We'll have a pretty good idea now if the reported Chelsea interest is genuine.

If it is, we've got a decision to make (move on imo). If not, Brighton might just be a bit keener to sell than they're letting on.

So be it? We play a lot of games and get a lot of injuries. In defence we seem to be unlucky with injuries especially. So to go into the season with less numbers than last year wouldn’t be wise for me. Throwing players in out of position isn’t the permanent answer. Nor should it be with a club of our size now and it’s resources

don't care what brighton value him. your greedy club can try whatever they can to distort and destroy the market with unfair and ridiculous valuations. city is a a properly run business and we do not plan to be like brighton we have a sustainable long term model. everything works on our valuation and nothing else.
I was replying to someone who said that Brighton had said £30m, thats not correct. At the end of the day we cant compete against top 6 sides with transfers. Brighton dont need to sell, so the onky way they can try to keep the best player is to try to over price him to put clubs off. We are not the first club to do this and we will not be the last. Yes this becimes risky for the club attracting young players, but that uz diwn to the club to sort out.

If he had a £50m buy clause, would City have paid that?

You say its Brighton being greedy, but if its true Chelsea are willing to pay that then its not is it, ive always said a player is only worth what the buying will pay for him, it looks like Chelsea think hez worth it.

I remember the day before we signed kdb, media outlets everywhere saying he was going to the rags. Next day we announced him.

Now I'm not saying this is the same but a transfer isn't over until it's over.

And just a side note to the flappers saying we've had a shit window.

Ortega.
Alvarez.
Haaland.
Philips.

And in the plus for money made from transfers.

He’s nowhere near £50M worth. If Chelsea pay it so be it, we’ve seen it all before and it doesn’t end well for the player or buying club.

Personally I’m not bothered, having watched him I thought he was average but may have potential to develop.

We are a professional outfit these days, we have strategy and that allows for clubs who try to take advantage. Like Arsenal, Leicester and Napoli we will simply find our player elsewhere.

Remember Cucurella is a very average player not a world class defender.

God that’s an awful post. Brighton aren’t destroying the market. If you consider Chilwell went for 50 a few years ago, AWB to united a few years ago, again for 50. They can value whatever they want, as they took their chance on him and it’s paid off. He is young with years on his contract. You make city fans look like idiots with that post.

I wonder if our resident flock of seagulls will now move to Chelsea’s Forum?
I'm going nowhere...im seeing this through...im resigned to losing him and rather it was too you guys. If his agent and Romano are to be believed and that he only wants City then surely Pep would demand it happens. As I said b4 I feel he's your missing piece of the CL jigsaw.
