Seriously you want to wear something with that idiots picture on. I'm sorry mat but the guy is litterally a fucking moron on an unbelievably scale. This is a guy that wants to put a 1p tax on email and text messages and thinks that will pay of the deficit. Now if you cant understand why that's not technically possible and why most of his crack pot ideas are impossible to implement or just out right fucking stupid i truly feel sorry for you.

Sean, you're too young to remember Maggies Millions. What Call me Dave will be worse in the long term. Had a cracking day today. Was very peaceful. All kicked off once the TUC/Union march had pretty much finished.

I sure am mate although i was born during the miners strikes i believe.

I can still form an opinion. By no means do i support a political party, as for me they as bad as each other but in the end New Labour become the Tories anyway. The march itself was always going to degenerate into what it has as there were stickers everywhere in London warning people but really what does the march prove, people are pissed off, they know that already and if they dont they are more stupid than i thought. Obviously people are saying its too hard and too fast, is it really though as finacial analysts in the City seem to think it is working (trusting what they say is debatable)

You are right in that new labour adopted tory policies far too often, and if you wish to listen to financial analists, it depends on which one you listen to as to whether or not they are in favour of the cuts, as some Nobel Prize winning economists back the TUC view that the cuts are too far too fast. What the country needs is to tackle the tax avoidance tax evasion tactics that far too many of the super rich use, this would balance the deficit without having to destroy the hopes and dreams of a generation.
Today march and rally will or it should have focused the minds of the Lib-dems as to the anger and worry that is all over the country, sadly due to the actions of a small number of anarchists, the reat turnout by between 250,000 and 500,000 people from all walks of live and all generations will largely be overlooked.

Obviously the anarchists will detract from what the real reason is in the first place but people expect it now, its the problem with marches and gatherings now!! We all know tax avoidance is complicated. Most of the super rich just chose not live here anymore and i cant blame them because given the choice between 50% and 0% in tax we know what you would chose. As for the TUC i personally have no time for them and most of what they stand for

I marched today, left home at 5.30 am and arrived home at 22.15. The main march was peaceful, cheerful and friendly. There were many families with small children and older people there and the march went well.

What happened after the march had nothing to do with the majority of people but all to do with a group called UK Uncut who want to bring down the banks and the large companies. They were the only people, as far as I am aware, who caused any problems.

You can argue till the cows come home about apportioning blame but the top and bottom of it is that there will be cuts to the NHS, there will be people refused treatment and who die because of it. In fact there are already people being refused treatment and dying!!

So I went along because I wanted to show my solidarity with the NHS workers, the Education workers, all public and private sector workers who are either losing their job or having more work piled on them without any extra help or pay.

*tucks soapbox away for another day*

Are there certain jobs that people deserve to have for life then regardless?

No there are just certain people who deserve to have treatment on the NHS, which cannot be provided if there is no one there to treat them. There are children who need to be educated and, again, they cannot learn if there is no one to teach them. There are people who deserve to be saved when their home is on fire, if there are no firemen & women they can't be saved. I could go on but I think you might get the picture!!

Basically, I did what I felt was right, if you disagree, then disagree, but that is my freedom of choice!! My grandfather died so that I could use that freedom and so that you could use yours as well.

Good post. However it wasn't UK Uncut who were the ones rioting. Yes, they occupied Fortnum and Mason etc but the attacking of Topshop, The Ritz etc was the anarchists/socialist worker far left mob.

Once again, this tiny minority give the right wing press an opportunity to deflect the attention from the crux of the issue to the damage of various central London shops and businesses. They probably know how much damage they're doing to the cause, but any excuse to smash stuff up.
