Marcos Lopes

I hope him along with a few more of the other kids get a chance second leg now that this tie is well and truly put to bed. TBH I would send down the entire EDS and let them all play.

This boy looks like a great talent. As long as his attitude is different than some of his star countrymen and he keeps up his skill, he will be a great player.

If he doesn't get a start against Blackburn or West Ham in the second leg, I will be quite disappointed.

Well, to be honest, I will be disappointed even if he doesn't get a start in either of these games.

If that back heel came from golden boy Januzaj, we'd have a media wankfest until next week. Would be surprised if it gets mentioned at all now.

Looks like he has gained a couple of muscle kilos without looking stocky. Interesting future ahead of him. Well played son!

stupendous !

I like his little celebration when the goal went in.

I was particularly pleased though when he lost the ball, then charged back, won the ball back then made a pass to a City player.

Yeah when he lost it I was like "Damn chin up!" but he just tore after Downing and won it back easy!

BBC seemed to think it was his debut, not doing any research obviously!
lovely back heel, great to see that confidence and flair in a young lad.

He did ok,good experience for him under ideal circumstances.
He's still very very raw but will only rectify that with game time.Great confidence and awareness with the back heel to give us a taster of his ability.
I'm not sure we'll see a great deal more of him this season but hopefully tonights cameo has whet his appetite.....

Didnt do a whole lot other than the backheel but really valuable for him to get some gametime. More of the same next week, maybe even from the start.

@Rony10Lopes:

Yeah, good performance but clearly not ready yet.

Looks strong and unfazed though, really think he could be ready for a loan asap

Outside of the top seven sides, there is some absolute dross in the league, and I think he'd learn more from playing and training with Silva, Nasri, Toure etc. than turfing it out with some cloggers every afternoon. What is more, given the improvement in so many players under MP, it would surely make more sense to have them learn from him than be at the whim of the revolving door managers elsewhere.
