Being on the bench today should feed his hunger,just hoping the opportunity to introduce him presents itself.
 
Gues that means we wont be seeing Lopes on the pitch today.. unless he subs with milner in the last couple of minutes..
 
shame we dont see kids getting any chances in any matches anymore. If we need to replace some squad players. the evidence isnt there that the youth will get a chance to shine.
 
Lopes is a great talent. Maybe next year he will get a few minutes in the first team. This season? No chance. I dot agree with it but thats how Pellegrini thinks.

Maybe he thinks our best youngster arent ready. Mancini wasnt a big supporter of putting in youngsters either, but remember some youth players were getting at least chances (45-60 minutes or even just 10-15 minutes) vs lower league opponents in domestic cups. Like Leicester or Blackburn, Wigan could have been this season. Remember Razak playing a few minutes in some PL matches as a sub.
 
In hindsight, probably should of started in Milners position with Milner at RB instead of Boyata, but oh well. Hopefully he'll get a chance in the replay
 
Has to play the next game, the squad is stretched far too much at the moment and that's the easiest (and least important imo) of the lot
 
When you have two players in each position, with one as the more regular starter and the other regularly on the bench its hard to see where the third choice gets any game time.

If pantillimon, lescott, milner and dzeko are regularly on the bench and then a game like today comes along to rest the regular starters you can't play youth and still not give game time to the four I mentioned (and others in the same situation) or they're never getting any games and would leave straight away.

Ideally, up front for example, we'd have 3 strikers who were as competent as each other (as opposed to one partnership that works far better than any other combination). So maybe aguero as the main man and then two who could happily play alongside him to similar effect and would get equal amounts of game time and then a guidetti in the wings for days like today.
There are games where I'd rather have a young hungry striker coming on as sub, or starting in a game like today, than a dzeko trying to force his way back in and feeling the pressure of that.
 
Please put lopes up now.. 5-0 up and we are completely dominating, it would be a perfect opportunity for Lopes to get 30 minutes!
