Nope, he's actually Brazilian, but moved to Portugal as a young kid. No reason Lopes can't and won't be a bigger talent by the time he's 21. All depends on the development of the two. Right now, Januzaj is in an advantageous situation as he gets to play in a poor team, while Lopes has Silva, Nasri, Navas and Milner to contend with (also potentially Jovetic).
One thing is for sure, if we're serious about talents like Lopes, there is no way we should be signing any new attacking midfielders/wingers in the near future (i.e. Reus, Di Maria, Draxler), or it could destroy any hopes he has. There would just be too many blocking his path, none of them particularly old.
