Marcos Lopes

When you look at it could we have chosen a better loan?

Lille will be playing in Europe next season and if Lopes can impress and cement a starting place I think we could end up having a player on our hands come this time next season,
He can't just pick whoever he wants.

I know, what I am saying is that if we could chose ten clubs we would like to send our youngsters to I reckon a lot would have put Lille down.

We want our youngsters to be loaned to the best possible club we can, Lille are in that bracket.

I would imagine our management would have identified a list of clubs who fitted the criteria we desired, maybe invitations would have been sent and replies awaited.

Lopes is a very desirable player,so,within the above parameters, its possible there may have been a choice.

Pretty gutted we're letting him go on loan.

I thought that since we need home grown Champion's League players that him, Guidetti and Rekik would be involved more in the first team this year.

The club just seem determined not to break in any of our youngsters.

Can't wait for us to use players like Keiran Westwood and Sinclair for the home quota who will probably never play a game for us.

If you recall, the FIFA players union said it was unfair that we were hit with the high homegrown rule on a reduced squad, and forced UEFA to reduce our homegrown places to 5, meaning we no longer really have anything to worry about.

Besides which all 3 would be on the B list anyway.

Clearly a very talented kid.

Could well be the 'next Hazard' and save us 35m.

Let's hope he smashes it at Lille. They love a good Hazard there.

Hi everybody, I'm a french Lille fan (and Man City too) and I learnt that Marcos Lopes joined us on a one-year loan. In France, we don't know him and last Lille's attack season was pretty bad, we didn't score a lot but we had an awesome defense. So, what can this player bring to us? You think he'll play as a 10 or as a left winger? What are his qualities?
Thanks, and sorry if my english is not good!
