Mario Gomez

If he would be played like Dzeko by Mancini, like coming deep a lot, trying to build attacks instead only being the end of crosses from Ribery, Robben, Lahm etc then he would suffer so much more than Dzeko here.

If we plan to change tactics that could be useful for a type of player like Gomez then we can keep Dzeko and will does the job very well.

I mean there is a reason Chelsea could after Dzeko or Dortmund. (Mourinho, Klopp wants him, there is a reason why...)

Selling Dzeko, getting Cavani fair, but for Gomez?

Why does everybody always talk of crosses from Robben or Ribery - especially from the first one... (Robben does not cross from the right - and he is not on the left very often)

Bayern does not have a preferred way to produce goals - not with Gomez and not with any other striker. Yes, there are crosses - and through balls and counters and whatever.

I show you a table with all goals and assistants of Bayern - you see on it that there is no prefered assistant for any of the strikers etc. In this you see that Mandzukic, Müller and Gomez had all 10 different assistants for their goals - and with it a lot of different ways.

Gomez is just a great poacher - and great when he can run on the goal as he used to be in a counter attacking team - and in this he probably really is the best on the world. He just ain't the ideal forward for a team like Bayern with 2 inverted wingers... - for the most other teams he probably is a gem.

Would be amazed if he went to Florentina financially and team wise

-- Sat Jun 08, 2013 12:52 am --

Would be amazed if he went to Florentina financially and team wise

Everyone says we want Cavani because the tabloids say so and Mancini mentioned it - does anyone know for a fact? Everyone said we wanted Falcao too ?

I was thinking that the other day....was Cavani a Mancini target only ?

Cavani's full name is Edinson Roberto Cavani Gomes

Maybe this is where the Gomez rumours are coming from? I f***ing hope so. It would be a bummer of we signed another Mario thinking we were getting a better Edin(son)

Personally if not too expensive and part of the squad I would love to get Gomez - I am not sure there is a striker around who is as good a finisher and would be a better option to get a goal when desparate. Would be great to have as an option and as a European option away from home, against our bogey teams, as an impact sub he would be perfect. I wouldn't build a team around him but I think he is a better finisher and is stronger than dzeko and would be great bet.

As a fellow norwegian, I have to say that Fjørtoft thinks he knows more than he do.

The consequences are that Guardiola plans with Mandzukic, Pizarro, Müller and Götze (false 9) as forwards for 2013.

They will not try to keep Gomez when he wants to leave. That guy is too good to play second fiddle at Bayern and he just is not the matching goalscorer for the team.
