Mark Halsey

When we were awarded the penalty and Tevez put the ball on the spot, only for the Leicester keeper to pick it up and refuse to release it, all right in front of the ref. Think the keeper should have got a yellow for that, or did something else happen which I didn't notice?
As far as I am concerned, think Mark Halsey had a very good game and used his commonsense to be "flexible" with the rules which in turn made for a more entertaining game.
Have always had and always will have a lot of time for Mr. Halsey, a true gentleman of the highest order.

Ref had a very good game as regards not booking every 50/50 challenge and preferred a quiet word when Viera clashed with one of their players....however to me Leicester should not have had a pen...I dont think Viera touched him...I didnt think so at the match and I didnt think so when I watched the ITV highlights....Townsend hardly took a close look did he...just muttered about definate contact...well Im sorry but I didnt see any contact.

I think a fan was running around the pitch when the keeper held the ball.

I thought Halsey was his usual crap self. I cannot understand anyone who thinks he's a good ref.

I tend to think he is ok because he doesn't make rash, enormous decisions without thinking. He takes his time and errs on the side of caution. He may not be a great ref but I'd take him over a reffing time bomb like Stuart Attwell any day.

If you again at their penalty, he has a good view. At first he backs away towards the half way line before walking forward and pointing to the spot. Looks like he changed his mind to me.

Our penalty was a sending off. No if's or buts.

what typical City mentality is that then?

Accepting bad decisions and poor refereeing is all..we need refs to do the job they are paid to do and that is to uphold the rules..it can and will go against us its true but id rather win games knowing we didnt have help if you know what i mean..
If it had of been twattenberg reffing last night then this thread would be on 50 pages by now..
