Mark Hughes as manager

"Robinho - too good for the team we had"

Robinhio- mercenary twat only came for the money and gave up as soon as the pressure started, hugely overrated footballer.

Kolo Toure, finished when he left Arsenal and stole a living of us and the dippers.

Roque Santa Cruz, People have suffered jail time for doing less dodgy deals, Leslie topped up his pension pot good and proper with this one.
The other two I’ll give, Toure had some cracking games for us. He was a huge step up in quality, more importantly he paved the way for the legend that is Yaya.

Leslie would never speak to Khaldoon, shows what a weirdo he was or more like he knew the big boss man would find him out very quickly.

I never knew this to be the case. Hughes was just very unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was against his sacking at the time and felt he was treated appallingly by the club and a large contingent of our fans. However, that sacking turned out to be the best decision. He was never going to be the right man for the job, and our success since alongside his career decline shows it was the right call, and how far out of his depth he was managing a top half or even Premier League club.

What of any significance did he achieve before he joined City cos he achieved nothing afterwards.

Apparently he was an awkward, arrogant bastard...typical rag !!

Bradford's his barra !!

The way i see it is if Hughes was a decent manager he wouldn't be at Bradford City right now, no disrespect to Bradford by the way but its league two.
He wasn't very good with us, didn't do much at Stoke and wasn't very long at Fulham, QPR or Southampton.
His only decent spell was with Blackburn.
I feel Hughes was always going to struggle at City because of his strong links to MUFC.
City fans forget that he played for other teams e.g. Chelsea and Barcelona.
However, he transformed the Wales national team into a professional, competitive side. Later managers, especially Gary Speed, built on this strong foundation.
His signings of Vinnie, Zabba & Mad Nige should be appreciated more...

His record for drawing from winning positions has stood the test of time.
It didn’t help that the refs awarded soft pens against us several weeks running.

Hughes was just a stepping stone manager and getting Mancini in was fantastic. That said, I felt old that day we sacked Hughes in a snidey way and there wasn’t a murmur of protest.

Given got injured at Arsenal away. Gunnar Nielsen came on for the rest of the game and during the week we were allowed to make an emergency loan for Sunderland's back up keeper. Without Googling I can't remember his name.

Much to the fan's delight Glauber Berti came on as a sub during the last home game of the 08/09 season against Bolton (think we pumped them 6-0?). Think this was the same game as Pidgeonho.

Sylvinho was cracking under Mancini. Scored a screamer against Scunthorpe away in the FA cup.
Marlon Fulop was the keeper we got.
Sadly he passed away very young.
27 years old I think he was.
