Olympique Marseille vs Manchester City – Highlights

If Darke is commentating that would be;

“Olympique Marseille vs £589m signings Manchester City”

Have to say, the after match analysis on BT is very good. Jenas was good too. Shame Darke wasn't.

Nice to have GazBaz there and I have a lot of time for Hargreaves and Camel gob despite being a rag always starts off by eulogising over our quality pre match and will continue to do so provided we don’t give him a reason not to which is about as good as you’ll get from one of them.

Good win. We are a bit powderpuff up front without a striker but the defence was solid and we played with purpose and closed down well. We are much better for me when Mahrez doesn’t play as he doesn’t put the yards in
powder puff but we scored 3 away in the champions league come on give us some credit

At last a professional performance in Europe. Looks like our pre season has ended and we are beginning to get match fit. Five subs in Europe helps, it would have helped all PL teams as well. Walker excellent again and Dias does look the business. Good to see Laporte back alongside him. Roll on Saturday

If we can get Jesus or Aguero back we will look a really strong side. Until then we are vulnerable if we don’t get the first goal and we could come unstuck against the best teams. Happy with tonight though and will be more confident going into our next games.

The 3rd goal is the end result of keeping the ball at the back and passing around our RB and RCB position for a while to get their left side out of shape.

Back and square passes are essential in peps tactics to pull the opposition around
Well, it’s not working so well in the Premier league where every manager has figured out that if he puts 10 men behind the ball with instructions to hold their positions we are going to struggle to break them down.
