Marseille (H) - CL | Post-Match Thread

We can pretty much put out 2 teams. Tough balance for Pep to keep these players happy and accommodate young players. Pep obviously focusing on harmony in first team squad, we will need them all. Young players have to prove they’re good enough and Foden proves there’s a path, though he will have to play better than tonight if he wants to play big games like the weekend.

Great to see Stones back to near his best, a happy Stones is a huge influence in the dressing room. Things coming together nicely.

I think a lot of the hustling and bustling Bernardo does goes unnoticed. I feel he's doing that better than previously during his rut. It might be a small step towards reaching his levels of old but that level of application can only be a good thing.

Also worth saying he's being used in midfield almost exclusively as of late, especially compared to last season, so it's possible he's dealing with the transition.

Of course, he needs to be better with the ball. We all know that. I'm sure he does too.

I thought he was fine tonight, certainly better than Phil.
It feels he is capable of much more..He has the ability to single-handedly carry the attack but somehow his impact is not at all felt imo... He has immense workrate and puts in a shift every time but his main purpose his creating which is not upto the mark imo..
