They both looked ok in midfield last night but then it would have been difficult not to against a team that poor who barely pressed the ball at any point and had no quailty in possession. Personally, I'd still like to see him get a chance in the holding role ahead of Garcia in cup matches etc but difficult to draw any real conclusions on the basis of last night.

I've got to admit I poo poo'd the idea the other day and probably spoke to soon about his ability to re convert back to DM, albeit last night was against a very poor midfield. Also thought thought Javi played well to.
