Good performance from him, basically became a DM in the latter stages and broke up all the sunderland counters and tried to make something happen with passes forward. Would probably do a decent job in DM should we require it at some point.

Decent player if he can use both feet I see MP playing him alongside Kompany.

Kompany can play (and quite well) on the left side as well so won't be an issue, i see him and Kompany as our first choice defense in due course.

Yes, I noticed him stepping up and trying to win things in midfield and start the play from further up the field. I think his general understanding of the game is very good; you wouldn't see any of our other centre-backs barring Kompany take that sort of initiative.

I love this guy.

Gets beaten for pace on occasion like just about every CB in the world but positionally sound. Had one mix-up early in the first half with Zab but he's been reliable. Maybe the best CB with the ball at his feet that we've had in who knows how long.

I feel comfortable with him back there.

This guy is gutting absolutely slated on the radio! God knows why! I think he's absolutely superb! Never seen anyone read the game as well as him. Would maybe go as far as saying he's just as good as Vinny Kompany. Controversial. I know.

He's started a bit like Fernandinho did, you can see he's a smart player who knows what he's doing and plays with his brain, but i think the intensity still catches him out at times and he has some loose moments and touches, but coming back from injury and without a pre-season with us he definitely has an excuse.

Lescott was brilliant when he came on.

if City win the League at the end of the season, this is the man we should appreciate gratefully. his leadership at the back is second to none. i feel safe when to see his name on the line up.

Rate him extremely highly and have thought he's played well before. Today wasn't his best performance though, looked a little shaky when the ball was played to his feet. Rock solid on headed clearances though, and was clever to prevent the quick throw in towards the end of the first half.

It's a weird one, because often you think he has played tremendously and others say he was awful, and vice-versa. Saw a lot of him over the past few seasons at Malaga though, and I'd say he is top class.

Great first half for Nastasic too.
