When you saw the ball fizzing around the pitch last night, you begin to appreciate how essential it is to have players at the back who are comfortable on the ball. His first touch is excellent and he is pivotal in allowing us to stretch play immediately.

Amen, class act .That's why I think players like Micah's days are numbered. The manager only wants and will only sign players comfortable with the ball.

What he brings to the midfield is mobility. He gets around the pitch and is constantly wanting that ball. Can pick a pass too. Tbh I rate him better as a midfielder but I think for the rest of the season a fit demichellis is vinnies partner.

He starts most of our attacks from deep, that's why Pellegrini likes to play him.

I still prefer Nastasic over him any day of the week. He is our weak link and could have cost us the game against Watford with some poor defending.

That's why I wouldn't have Lescott anywhere near the team for an important game.

Excellent player for all the reasons above and is also solid and consistent. Dont understand why he gets so much flak tbh.

Far too many don't understand our way of playing that's why.

First couple of games he misplaced an awful lot of passes, first impressions can last a long time with some people. Obviously he's improved the more he's played though.

There was a lot of diving in and not winning the ball - he seems to be getting better although had a lapse in the 1st half vs watford....

A class act and my MOTM against spuds, he reads the game well and keeps the ball moving forward rather than the senseless sideways and backward shite we get from Lescott,

Neither does he!

He does the complete opposite to what the rest of the back four are doing about four times a half. He dives in and gets shown up too often and he's directly cost us goals and in some cases points.

-- Fri Jan 31, 2014 1:04 pm --

He looks to have improved sometimes, then he looks awful again, then he'll have a blinder like Bayern away then doesn't play well for three games, then does okay for a while, then is shit like in the first half at Newcastle but then excellent in the second half, then he's dog shit for two games like Cardiff and Watford, then has a blinder like at Spurs...

...properly inconsistent!

That's not good enough.

So only Sunderland away he has cost us points as since then we havent dropped many!

He's alright, for the price paid I never expected anything other than a stop gap to be honest while Pellers new tactics where integrated, Demi being able to pass on that style to the rest of the defense. Hopefully his biggest contribution will be to help players like Nasty adapt and thrive to this new style.

Too old, too slow, can't pass. Amiable buffoon but not really what we're looking for.

Disagree but that's OK.

However, whatever you think of his other qualities, "can't pass" suggests you aren't looking properly.
