I agree - he might not be the quickest and he makes mistakes but he's got a winning mentality at both ends of the pitch and he actually wants to wear the shirt - you can see his passion a mile off.

Lot's of City fans seem to rate him but to be honest the guy gives me the shits. He just dives in way too often when it just isn't necessary. Ok today at times but too often just looks like a catastrophe waiting to happen to me. His distribution is incredibly erratic, plays some decent passes but then gives the ball away too often for my liking. I sincerely hope he doesn't continue to get the nod once Nastasic is fit and I'm not at all convinced that he should be getting the nod over Lescott.

The guy as only been over here a short time, so we must give him some leeway, he will play better than he does when he gets used to the pace of the English game.

That's fair enough, I hope he does adjust although at his age it isn't inconceivable that he might not ever get to grips with it. I'm not sure that needlessly diving into challenges is about the pace of the game as much as just poor decision making though. Someone needs to tell him that he is allowed to stay on his feet and jockey players from time to time.

His coming out on offside traps is atrocious. Other than this I really like what he brings to the team.

He is here because he knows the system inside out and Pellegrini trusts him 110%.

We are now really beginning to see the rest of the squad implement the system in the same way and we can all see the benefits ;-)

I think he has been brilliant. His distribution is great, i think both him and Kompany are the same type of player, both ball players, good in the air but prone to rash decisions.

I know him AND Kompany are a bit rash at times, but a lot of the time they do get the ball first.
It's when they don't that it looks awful. Saying that, we haven't been crucified because of it.
