I like what I see of him. His touch and technique is very good, very comfortable on the ball, few errant passes but I think that's not exactly unexpected whilst he's trying to bed in with rest of the team.

And after those jibes that he's another slow poke in the Barry/Garcia/Lescott mould, I've comfortably come to the conclusion that he's easily faster than them and in fact has reasonable pace for a centre half & a guy of his age.
I agree, its early days yet, but so far I'm pretty impressed, lets hope he can stay fit, we have enough glass already.

Clearly calm, confident, intelligent and capable.

He adds a new dimension in that he usually looks for the forward pass rather than the side to sidey.

Best bit was that long ball over the top he played that navas stormed on to only to have his shot saved well by ruddy.

We hardly ever do that and it will certainly come in handy in certain games.

Thinks he has more time than he actually does but he'll soon learn.

we were wondering yesterday if he might be slightly colour blind - so we tried to help by shouting blue shirt every time he got the ball- I suspect he might have a problem seeing the difference between blue and yellow/green

Sums things up nicely.

His pass accuracy was good yesterday but he chose too many options that allowed Norwich to intercept his passes. He did though make some passes that got the ball to the edge of the final third.

An adequate stop gap until January when he'll revert to being an excellent third/fourth choice or alternative defensive midfielder when the opposition requires such.

I thought he showed a lot of ability on the ball. Some very good and accurate passes out of defence into midfielders that you could not imagine Lescott making

He made a couple of bad mistakes so it wasn't a perfect performance by any means but a very promising home debut

Demichelis looked a bit off the pace yesterday . I hope he can play a few more passes to Manchester City player`s in the future .

You have to look at it holistically; it's normal to be a bit rough after having not played in so long and some of his passes were quite good, showing he can in fact pass.

Those passes will be ironed out IMO, don't think he gave up a dangerous pass against Chelsea...

He intercepts the ball very quickly a little similar in technique to fernandihno as he gives long low and speedy passes into the feet of our players. Yesterday not up to speed but a classy player no less.Think he will fit in very quickly.

Passed the ball forward more in one match then Lescott does in a full season
The only slight problem was that more often than not it was to an opposition player.

Wasn't my point tho

The point you made by accident is that Lescott doesn't give the ball away much compared to others because he does what the manager asks him to and that's pass to a team mate.

The point I was making is the Demichallis brought the ball forward and also tried to pass it quickly forward not allowing the opposition to get in positio. By the time Lescott has the ball under control and passed square to whoever. The opposition have been to the kitchen made a cup of tea and settled in their armchairs

His pass completion was 91% yesterday. He got intercepted a few times and they stood out but most of his 88 passes found a City player and the almost all the ones that didn't were not mishit. I guess you could call those moments off the pace as he may have been caught out by how quickly the Norwich players moved.

-- Sun Nov 03, 2013 5:24 pm --

Early days but I love this bloke!

I honestly thought that we should have looked at him when he left Bayern.
