What is she sitting on? Just asking, like.

His sweeper system.

He'll have one or two half decent games then he'll have a stinker - its the magnitude of his cock ups in big games thats the problem - he's not good enoigh to match the ambitions of City.

As much as people are hammering him there's the other unrealistic view of him & the constant sycophantic garbage, he's good on the ball, he had a good game last week .... He's not good enough - too slow - rash - gets himself in some very awkward positions where he doesn't have any chance of recovering.

As a City fan I want him to do well but I have seen many times him proving to be a liability especially in big games...

The whole defence played well as a unit today. We caught them off side so easily. Well done demichelis and garcia. Both gave assured performances.

Biggest scape goat of the squad IMO Garcia 6 weeks ago was getting all the stick hes getting.he,s not as bad as many are making out IMO.but we need upgrades on cb position

He played well today. Credit where credit's due and all that, but one good performance every 10-15 games isn't good enough on the level we're at.

I understand Savage will be analysing City`s defensive performance tonight on MOTD. It looks like City sitting deep helps Demichelis (and Garcia) as he doesn`t get exposed by his lack of pace. Perhaps Manuel should change his game plan away from home for the rest of this season and play on the break.

Still this myth continues.

Hopefully some of you will cut him a bit more slack in future.

The abuse on here over the last week or two was embarrassing.

Here here, never doubted MDM . If he slips up as do other players we come down like a ton of bricks on him.

He came in to the team last minute as we fell short due to bad buying in defence. He then got injured, very unlucky. Think he has done a job since, to much scrutiny on him.

Vinny went off yesterday and MDM put a great shift in. Confidence on the ball in that position is what we need.

He was bought at the start of the season to fill a gap because Vinnie and Nasty were both injured. I know he has made some alarming mistakes recently but where would we be if he wasn't in the squad?

And Javi has grown into a better player with more game time. As a defensive duo today they did the job that was thrown at them with Vinnie's dismissal. No matter what people's personal opinions of these two players at least have the decency to give them credit for their efforts today. Leave the slagging to another game (if it is needed that is)

Excellent performance yesterday. We were actually more organised once we were down to ten men.
For all the criticism he gets, he organised the back line superbly after Vinny went off.

By the way is it true that the fans were booing his selection? I hope that isn't true. Once he puts the shirt on we need to totally support him.

Someone did point out that one of the reasons for his good game yesterday might've been that we were forced to play more defensively, and therefore he got more protection. But yeah, we should definitely be supporting him when he puts the shirt on.

MDM Is a very good footballer, a leader which he showed in spades yesterday - instructing everyone to play a perfect line that nullified Hull's attacks. I don't think I've ever seen that many offsides since Paul Dickov played for us?

I know he has made mistakes, but some of the vitriol by fans has stooped to a new low. He is trusted by the Manager and since I think our Manager is the best around I support his judgement. We will get a new CB next year but MDM is a decent fella and could be vital in our quest for the title.

MDM and Lescott both good enough for most Premiership teams but are very short of Champions League levels. It was an immense defensive performance yesterday..the best we have produced for many months. For all the criticism we get our defence is still one of the best in the Premiership and only a few goals worse than Chelsea

Top of the league

:)

I've said on this thread before that the thing that frustrates me about him most of all is that he is quite clearly capable of responsible, solid performances like yesterday, like at Newcastle away and a few others. It looks like a conscious decision to me to play in full kamikaze mode so often, I just don't get it.
