So the clubs without 'earning potential' shouldn't bother. Replace the PL table with the Goldman Sachs Earnings Potential Championship.

Plastic fucks

The funniest thing about that thread is that Eboue poster ripping Drainy to fucking shreds. He correctly points out that the likes of United and other so-called established clubs have benefitted from outside investment in the past so it would be hypocritical to criticise what City are doing.
Exactly. "I know we used to do it, but we've decided it's not fair anymore" has to be the most piss weak argument for anything ever.

Unbelievable isn't it? How anyone can expect to be taken seriously when displaying such rank hypocrisy is beyond me. Thing is, I rarely come across these bellends in the real world - they seemed to be almost exclusively confined to the internet. Most United fans I know might not like City doing well but they don't have an issue with our spending.

The real scandal is what clubs like arsenal charge the fans. Rocket high prices and little investment in the team, all so fat greedy board members can cream the profits.

Thing is these clubs spend what they earn, City will eventually spend what they earn, probably within 2 years based on the last posted financial returns showing huge growth in turnover.
They have all spent huge sums of money themseles over a longer period of time than City and to a degree Chelski to get themselves where they are now, asssited by astute boardroom staff who 'now' run the club to make profit and sod the fans.
If it wasn't for the money pumped into the league by the likes of us ad the hyporites, the world class players would not be gracing our league, we would be a million years behind the Spanish and Germans,Sky would not be pumping the sort of money it does into the FA and our gam would be stuck in the 80's with shie stadia, shite teams and the hypocrites winning eerything with no challenge from any bugger else.

-- Mon Jan 14, 2013 10:40 am --

Use the money to improve your stadium/ infrastructure/commercial department- if you are maxed out in terms of earning potential maybe you just aren't a club that should be challenging for titles.

So the clubs without 'earning potential' shouldn't bother. Replace the PL table with the Goldman Sachs Earnings Potential Championship.

This is just the old top 4 trying to keep them selves up there, with squadron leader Gill at the helm. A first class knob head
What worries me more is stories about Everton and Wigan etc backing the idea have they no ambition for the future.
What a shit league this may turn out to be in a few years if these lemmings get their way

Basically the so called already established teams are not happy that clubs such as our's and chelsea's can be bought and have money invested so that they can compete on an equal footing.

Is it our fault that we actually have an owner that although has invested a fat amount of money - is actually providing the infrastructure that will allow our club to become self sufficient for decades to come - NO

Is it our fault that other Premiership teams have had takeovers of their own but have then had owners that not only take money out of the club but then to not invest any of their own money - NO

It all boils down to the so called top four being scared for their future and that is the truth. They are probably aware that no owner is going to buy their club as the cost of purchase would far outweigh and possible profit once that club has been valued.

This would then leave only a lower premiership team as the alternative for being bought - someone like Everton where it would make sense to start a project.

Unfortunately the only way a club can now start to compete is for a takeover to occur. If they actually want to regulate it to an extent where money would have to be drip fed into the club, this would mean that it could take almost 5 years until any significant change would be noticed.

It's the fcuking hypocrisy of it all that gets me. The Lavish spenders of yesteryears ,or still are in the case of the RAGS,the first Clubs in the Premiership to sell their fcuking souls to foreigners for money, it was because of tw@ts like these that clubs like us and Chelsea had to follow suit just to compete. The surprise for those in that letter was that it all went tits up; the Americans who bought them have saddled them all with huge debts or in Liverpool's case just run them in to mid -table mediocrity.

all these mismanaged clubs want a return of the status quo, they want to stifle the competition. They want the return off the cartel. They want the predictability off the Premiership to be as it once was again. They are to jealous and embittered to see they will be killing the goose.

Don't these fucking idiot's get it ?,it is because of Clubs like City and Chelsea that the Premiership is more competitive, we have not stifled competition but created competition, surely that is fair play ?.What these clowns are suggesting are restrictions that will effectively kill off the best League in the World, a League Sky pay billions for. The investment encourages the best players on the planet to our Premiership. You can kiss goodbye to watching the best players in the Premiership with these proposals.

They really have only self interests. What is proposed is a restriction of trade.

City and Chelsea should get together and get the best lawyers on the planet to do this backstabbing scum for slander and character assassination. That letter suggests dark forces are at work here.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; bring it on and lets have it tested in a court of law once and for all so it can be put to bed.

imagine the PL this season with no City or Chelsea challenging Utd. Would be all over already

But that's exactly how it should be cos 'nitid earnededed their monies through sheer hardy working and all that whereas Citeh and Chav$ki won the lottery and shouldn't be allowed to have any money cos that just upsets the fans and means 'nitid can't have things their own way and look at Arsenal with Wenger getting all upset which is just wrong and then has to sell players and Liverpool have won the league loads and should be allowed to finish 3rd based on that and and and and...
