Mary D's

Dont drink in there myself but can see the appeal to a certain demographic. Townley or corner shop more my thing. Didnt even realise the Manchester had opened again?

Used to be Bradford Labour Club. Was well known for being a decent place back then apparently. The owner was Michael Kehoe ... who had several businesses, including 'Kehoes' a wine bar at Failsworth Pole a time ago.

We used to go in when we first moved to the stadium. Seemed ok then, beer aside. But it just got too much for us with the overloud DJ, and constant din. The beer went rapidly downhill too, from bearable, to utter dishwater at top dollar.

He still has it apparently but recently gave up Kehoes/Baldy Bob’s according to my mate who was a regular in there.

Mary D’s would be a top pub if they sorted the beer out. I prefer town or the townley now. Wasn’t there plans for City to buy all the land at top of Grey Mare Lane at one point?

We used The Manchester last night. £4 for a pint of drinkable Coors. Quick service and a Blue crowd.

I would go back.

I was Mary D’s biggest fan for years too. I took a Juve fan in there for Celtic home last season and he loved it. Never seen a place like that in his life.

The Manchester (or whatever it is called now) has improved. They’ve spent money on it.

San Miguel is OK upstairs - a little oasis of peace away from the great unwashed, except on Derby Day of course
